Round 9 Discussion

Wow, Hutchinson off with a punctured lung and broken ribs, not a penalty to be seen either.
Crazy.

so in the same play teddy get's a shoulder charge in the head, and then Hutchison cops sliding knees causing broken ribs and a punctured lung, yet not one eels player is off the field. Makes sense, so much for cracking down on foul play

It was for the Niukore shoulder charge on Tedesco before he passed the ball to Tupou.

Even so, I think they would have penalised Brown for the knees. Remembering that an act of foul play will supersede a knock on in that situation.
Yep just saw it... Niukore looking at a holiday for that shot.

Thought it was for Brown coming in during the put down... which to me happens fairly often (knees to the back).

They were quick to diagnose that

It isn't the Broncos' medicos, so it sounds more likely to be the case that it is true.

But come on, the Roosters have half a first grade side sitting on the sidelines and they are still bringing in gun players and competing. The salary cap doing its job, amirite?

It's a credit to Sydney they've made a contest of this game but once again we're seeing how lopsided games can be with the modern interpretations of the rules. Parramatta had 78% of the ball and 50+ tackles inside the opposition 20. It's so difficult now to have a competitive game of footy unless you're given some luck.

Parra have been too fancy for their own good and they've really cramped their attack by constantly going after Walker who has really held his own defensively. As far as I can tell it's run at Walker, run at Walker, second-man play at Manu, long cut-out pass to Moses who turns it back inside to Paulo, run at Walker and then kick and hope. They started to play more direct later on but I'll be curious to see if they mix it up in the second half.

Roosters have ridiculously dodgy good depth.

SST on report, notice no one at the Roosters cares? They know he'll get off.

Sign up that Opacic kid, he goes alright. I love the way he is just always there, such a good Jack Ree...I mean competitor.

and everyone (in the media) is talking about their injury crisis ... at times last year we had more players than this injured and not a peep from anyone

Yeah because the ref could see a strip from 30m away... Checcin trying his best to prevent this from becoming 38-12
