Lead with the Knees, would have been a penalty try and 10 in the bin if the knock on by Morris hadn't happened right before it.

Nah that's not an obstruction.... they cant just flippantly jump between when the outside shoulder is and isn't an issue....

2nd rowers specifically run their decoy line at the outside shoulder.... every try should be an obstruction if that's an obstruction
