Run home to the finals

It all starts this weekend. If they can beat the Eels and (a) start showing some heart; (b) collectively improve their attitude; and (c) start playing as a team, they can turn the slump around. If they do the above, they should then beat the Warriors on home soil and that leaves the Rabbits at home in front of a packed Suncorp Stadium for the double header. If they win that, three in a row, on a bit of a roll anything could happen.

And who's to say we'll beat any of those teams? On current form we couldn't beat an egg.

Titans at Skilled will be tough too, and so will the Raiders in Canberra the way we've been playing.

Perhaps broncos fans just need to learn to accept that this is how it's going to be in the coming years once lockyer and hunt leave the club. The club is going to be the easy beats of the comp, and might even collect their first wooden spoon

Lol, are you on a wind up?

Why accept mediocrity?

Nah, not being a coxy and trying to wind anyone up. No one has to accept it, but I can just see it becomming reality in the next couple of years. When Peter Wallace came to the club, I honestly thought there would be light at the end of the post lockyer tonnel, but now I'm not so sure.

I just think that without Lockyer, the club has very little to offer in attack. Sure there are young guys coming through, but they still seem a few years of being genuine first graders in my opinion. They'll probbaly make the 8 this year due to a reasonably good start to the season, but I think the Broncos are going to struggle big time for the next 3-4 years unless they find some money to recruit well. Maybe picking up the spoon was an over-exaggeration, but I can see them breaking their long streak of finals appearances next season.

I can see what Oxy means, also losing Karmichael is going to be so negative. The club is definitely about to miss the finals in the next couple of years.

Unless we pick up Thurston with Lockys money [icon_wink

But he does a half decent impersonation

True. So does Wallace...3 times a year...before April...

So here is the prediction, Broncos buy Thurston and turn him back into a 5/8 (Coxy gets his way) he takes Lockys place in the rep teams also and Prince / Cronk move to half for QLD / AUS.

I reckon Cronk will be the next QLD halfback. They're going to say Prince is too old.

THURSTON'S NOT A HALFBACK!!!!!!!!!!!

:P

Luckily if we are using Locky's money to get him - he'll be playing 5/8 [icon_razz1

If Henjak gives the players a week's vacation after Origin like Bennett has done since 2006, I wouldn't be surprised if we lose most of the first 3 or 4 games after the bye. Same thing happened last season against the Dogs.

Don't the players actually have to do something to earn a holiday?

Benton already said in an interview earlier this year they will get the week off
