Russel Crowe takes the rabbitohs to spain

I hope he doesn't destroy ROBIN HOOD!!

Once again Coxy you have allowed a personal bias to cloud your judgement . You've shown real change over the last 6/7 years , a maturing attitude but sadly you have slipped up on this one. Russel Crowe is a flawed human being like so many on here. Some of us more deeply flawed than others. I do not exclude myself.

Without any doubt Crowe is one of the finest actors of the last 20 years as evidenced by his award winning performances. He actually should have won even more awards but unfortunately fell victim to an orchestrated plan to award an American the big prize in the year the Insider was released.

Being a tool on occasions happens to us all, and all of us would not want to be judged by our worst days. Rather most would like all our good days included during the reckoning. Crowe has done a great deal spreading the word about our game and I for one appreciate his passion. Having never met the man I'd reserve any judgement(what right have I to judge anyway) of him.The games better for him being involved.

No, I just find him boring as an actor. That was well before any of his behaviour problems. He is just a dreadful, monotone, monosyllabic actor with absolutely no depth to his performances.

monotone, monosyllabic ????...romper stomper..gladiator ??? hard to believe it is possible to have played those roles the way Elliot Goblet told jokes !!!..you must have seen different movies to the ones I've seen then....!!!!

I hate to agree with Huge, but how can you say Rusty has no range (or acts monotone?), go watch the Insider then L.A. Confidential and tell me it's just him reading a script in the same character?

When he's promoting the game, he'll be on his best behaviour, he's financially invested in being a good ambassador, how is it a bad thing that more people, people that the average person can't say boo to (movie stars, soccer queers) are actually aware of the existence of NRL? Where's the negative?

I also hate to agree with Huge but Coxy obviously has anti-Russel Crowe glasses on when he watches him acting.

[icon_lol1. And the truth is exactly the opposite of that.

Russel Crowe is certainly no Will Ferrell

Tool or no tool, getting Cristiano Ronaldo probably one of the top 5 most visible sportstars in the world to wear a Rabbitohs cap is great for the game.

I'm fairly indifferent in re: to Crowe, but he is great for the game of rugby league.

I dunno, am happy he did a PR trip for Souths but I can't see anyone in Spain watching the game because Ronaldo wore a cap.

+1. Nobody in Spain is going to give a toss.
