Thaiday is a fking champion, love him!
He has the perfect attitude on and off the field and he's just such a great player for our club. I would be absolutely devastated if we were to lose him.

This is one player we NEED to keep for the long term.

Like we should have kept Civo. I'm still fuming over that blunder and that will forever be the biggest stain on Cullen's tenure at the club.

As much as I want to dislike the guy after the toilet-gate fiasco, all I can do is have admiration for the way he has concentrated on his footy and kept himself out of the spotlight. He has come a long way in a short time, this is fantastic news for the club.

What's stopping him from asking for a release in say 2012 due to "family reasons"? Exactly, nothing. If a player doesn't want to play for the club any more, despite being on contract, the club will pretty much always agree to release the player as the club doesn't want to waste their money on a player that isn't going to put in 100% for the club.

I'm happy for Sammy, I really am and I hope he stays a Bronco for life but I'm not getting my hopes up any more.

Why put a negative spin on it??? He has come out and said he wants to be a Broncos for life, if things change then we be negative. He clearly has the best of intentions.

Hehe. True. But Rock makes a valid point. Contracts these days are meaningless and statements like "I wanna be here for life" mean even less.

Nice sentiment and shows his commitment which is brilliant. But much can change.

and even if a player wants to stay here for life, doesnt mean the club wants them for life.

if wallace came out and said 'i want to be a bronco for the rest of my career' it doesnt mean we should just keep giving him contracts.

not saying Thaiday will just turn into a sucky player, but things happen. i take pretty much all contract talk with a grain of salt, because as others have said, things change and people change their mind.

This is good news - if the senior players had no faith in IH, Sam wouldn't want to stay
