At first I didn't care about this but after seeing the reaction online he's definitely brought the club into disrepute. Put him on an alcohol ban and have him work in the cafe at Red Hill for a month, he can earn $20 an hour. Not keen on making excuses for him because he is literally on his last chance and Seibold stuck his neck out for him. No more chances for him.
Just clarifying, are you saying working in the Cafe for 4 weeks and not playing?

Would also give your boy a clear path back into 1st grade wouldn't it?

Move along, nothing to see here
Segs working part time in the Broncos cafe would open up a space for McCullough? Did I say anything about a suspension?

Yeah I think he should be suspended for four weeks for low range drink driving. Of course not, the punishment of an alcohol ban and working for $20 an hour is more than enough.

How is it a punishment if he's getting paid? Probably outside the rules of the cap. Even LU don't give a shit about this one, not sure where you're seeing such a bad reaction to this online if even LU don't care.

He is pretty dumb driving even the day after drinking whilst on his P's. While its not a big thing, i still think he should be stood down even if its just for one game. I thought Haas should have been stood down as well when he got done. If we want to build a better culture, surely this should set the standard. You stuff up, you suffer the consequences.

Did I say he should miss any games? Answer that and then we can move the goal posts

A $500 fine and a slab at the next team barbie will suffice. But on a serious note, even though it was a trivial matter it should be his final warning. The next stuff up means no contract for next year. Hopefully he realises the situation he has put himself in and joins Lodge,Hass and TPJ's no drinking crew.

No, you didn't. But reading between the lines you seemed to be implying it.

Did you really see a bad reaction to this online and did it really change your opinion?

I didn't imply shit. Don't read between the lines, read what was actually written. If I wanted him suspended I would have said suspend him but I didn't because he doesn't deserve to be suspended. There's plenty of comments on Twitter, and considering half of NRL supporters can't read, you included apparently, people are only seeing "Segeyaro busted drink driving" and assuming the worst.

This is a bit stupid. Our nanny state is the issue hear not a 28 year old man driving under .05 bal to get a latte in the morning.

They were given time off to relax and i don't care if Segs got on the beers and i don't care he drove and got pinged for such a low level. If he was out their hammered drunk now thats a different story.

If I read what was actually written, am I supposed to take all your sarcastic posts(95%) literally?

So these people on twitter......that can't read......they changed your opinion? And our club should bend over to satisfy them?

I agree with you in principle and if this was drinking in the arvo and driving at night there give them the full punishment. Personally I am not interested in punishing someone that wakes up feeling fine and being caught with a slight amount of alcohol in the system.

Must be a generation gap thing. I've had to pull over the car and hurl on the way to work in the morning. If I'd have been done drink driving it would've been my lookout. None of my employer's business.

The fact that it looks bad at all for the club is where the problem lies. He's brought the club into disrepute by doing something stupid and the coach who has laid his neck out for him wouldn't be happy with him at all. Bend over? By punishing him slightly? Now I'm sure you haven't even read my post. It's called reading comprehension, mate. If you're having trouble reading the text there are plenty of strategies I can teach you to help.

I agree as far as drink driving goes, its pretty minor, but the problem is, he knows the rules, and he make the choice to risk driving. I agree with what Cult3 Cult3 said though, he has dragged our clubs name into the press in a negative way, and he should have a consequence.

I dont think it should be anything too severe, but at the same time, i think if any player breaks the law, and he has broken the law, then he should be stood down for a game. If it becomes a habit, then we have to look into it deeper.

When it drags your employers name through the media it would 100% be their business.
