Anybody else going over?
The nines is coming up quite quickly so this is my stab at the team in accordance to the fact that on the same weekend we are playing a strong side against the Cowboys. I can't remember who said it but one of the players said the nines team will have big forwards and fast backs. No particular order.
1. James Roberts
2. Jamayne Issako
3. Corey Oates
4. Darius Boyd
5. Kodi Nikorima
6. Darren Nichols
7. Herman Eseese
8. Frank Molo
9. Caleb Timu
10. Jai Arrow
11. Salesi funanki
12. Greg Eden
13. Elijah Alick
14. Jayden Berrell
15. Jo ofahengaue
16. Carlin Anderson
17. Adam Blair
18. Todd Murphy/ Adam Tumaive-gerad/ Travis Waddell
I think the team we send over will something like this. Really keen to see Blair get a run at this, getting jnik, Roberts and Boyd to follow him around. Oates would be amazing but I can see him getting switched with Pearson to strengthen the backline against the cows. Bennett might want to give Berrell some game time against the cows as he will likely get a crack off the bench if McCullough or Jnik go down. Boyd for captaincy with Nikorima as a smokey...This is just my guess.
I thought he signed with the Roosters..
now THAT would do it for me. that i will pay to see.. just to catch him from the crowd after the game one last time
ALEX Glenn’s impending NRL Nines inclusion comes at an unfortunate cost, his fiancée and mother of their new born child will be alone for two weeks as he helps kick start Brisbane’s season.
“The Auckland Nines are around the corner and then we are off to England so my poor fiancé is at home with the newborn for a couple of weeks,” the backrower said.
The Broncos will announce their Nines team this week with Glenn’s comments seemingly guaranteeing his inclusion alongside several young stars and one of their superstars such as a Ben Hunt or Darius Boyd.
Three babies in seven days at Red Hill has forged an even tighter bond among Broncos players, new father Glenn says.
The greatest mystery at the Broncos is what happened nine months ago.
Glenn, Corey Parker and Jack Reed have all welcomed children into the world in the past week with Josh McGuire’s wife Tanyssa due next month.
Red Hill’s fertility rate has skyrocketed and Glenn, whose fiancée Jemma gave birth to a boy Miller Alexander last week, said it made the group closer together as they leant on each other for baby advice.
Reed welcomed a daughter named Quinn Ivy last week while Corey Parker and wife Margaux also welcomed their fourth child River Monroe.
“Every day me and Reedy come in and talk about our babies and our experience,” Glenn said.
“Reedy is a day ahead of me so he is giving me tips so I can look forward and be better.
“It does bring a family culture together which is awesome.
“It will be a tight first birthday next year with us three trying to make everyone’s first birthday.”
Glenn said his son had already given him a new perspective on life.
“It is the happiest moment of my life to hold my son. I find myself gazing at him and taking him in,” Glenn said.
“It is something we have been blessed with. I am just trying to catch up on sleep in between training sessions but it is all worth it.
“He’s everything I am living for now. He’s my priority. It opens a whole new perspective in life.
“In the last couple of days, going straight to the hospital, it does take my mind off football.
“You don’t want to think about football too much. It helps me unwind at home and I can’t take the smile off my face to be honest.”
So I presume it's not either Blair or Glenn.. a left field choice.. so that rules out McCullough & Boyd..
