Shibba and Jetski won't be on much, they are exactly the type of players we need in the squad pushing for places. They will work hard and not take their opportunities for granted, somthing that I don't think can be said for Mariner and Piakura who were both poor last year. We need low budget solid players that can play above their ability, this is how Penrith have built their squads.

If they both get a start for the first few games to give Marina and Piaks a kick up the arse, and then Piaks and Mariner make their way back into the team and fire, then it sends a really good message to the rest of the squad. Earn your spot.

Mariner outplayed Shibasaki quite easily judging by the 2 trials we have played, this is surely Madge laying down the gauntlet to some lazy trainers

I remember a player but can't remember who having a dig a Mariners training in a interview early on in pre season. Maybe it wasn't just a joke
