Should Mam be sacked?

Assuming we keep Mam which in my opinion we probably will, how long would he be suspended for?

+4-5 weeks more than the going rate for this kind of infringement

Even if the drug test ends up being negative he probably gets a 4 game ban for driving unlicensed.

Given he’s checked into rehab, probably pretty likely he was on something. Hard to see him missing less than 10 games, wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up sacked but then we are the big losers out of the ordeal, all the good young halves are locked away. The only viable person we might be able to go after would be Jonah Pezet or Tyrone Wishart

The trouble with the Pezets and Wishart is they aren’t the answer. Good players, but it’s not like Cronk to the roosters.
Bide our time, either go hard for a top flight half or Black is the future. Middle range Wishart isn’t. A budget Sexton, maybe. Wishart will want more given where he is from and the utility value

We simply have to rip his contract up IMO. We're now locked in for 5 years with $900k for a guy that was over paid to begin with and now he is damaged goods. 2025 is a complete write off for him and who knows what the future holds. Will he ever be able to live up to that contract? Will the mental demons keep popping up making him a high maintenance player for the club?

Keeping him on a renegotiated deal if much easier to swallow IMO. Our salary cap is a mess and now we are in a bigger hole because of this drama.

Craziness if we keep him.
He will be out for Atleast 12wks imo and disrupt so much of the 25 season. Hes overpaid and I don’t think he will reach the heights of 2023. Not to mention he seems unhinged and there’s no guarantee he has/will learn from his action.
The media will have a field day with him. He will create so many headlines and will never be able to shake this incident from the media side of things (similar to Lodge when he was here).
