i do understand it i do.

but like i said in previous post im just using my moral values.

i know f if it was me and my child i 100% would not be weeks later bringing this up again. nothing new was gained from it other then chasing more air time and sympathy and im assuming they paid her a pretty penny to say all the same stuff she said weeks ago.

Again everyone has differant morals but after the initial fall out i would not want to bring this up in the media again when it does nothing for my child especailly if the kid is so traumatized like she says.

In the end though like nashy says if this starts making nrl players wake the **** up then so be it.

Not knowing the family, i can kind of understand if they take the money tbh for the interviews the way things are for some people. I feel tbh they have been pretty fair with Ezra. They havent outright condemned him, said she isnt against second chances but wants to see him face the consequences ( if its warranted ).

I’m glad there is a follow up. That in itself is a consequence for what Mam did. He and others need to understand that while this situation ended up extremely lucky that no one was killed, PTSD is a real thing and people deal with it differently. If this mother feels a need to keep on talking about it, this should be encouraged not condemned.

As I said previously, the result isn’t necessarily the issue here fortunately but when you have a car coming straight at you on the wrong side of the road, you don’t know everything is going to be ok at that moment - that is traumatic. As I also said, I know this because I experienced it. I still get flashbacks from time to time and it was years ago. I’ve also probably stopped cycling outdoors as a result of it too. I want to get back into it but I really struggle with the after effects and physically, all I got from it was a busted knee.

TLDR of this is if i get paid enough all my issues and mental suffering will go away
not saying this is neccessarily a bad thing if you can get your bag then get it.
i more dissapointed in the scum media but shouldnt be surpised.
this wouldnt still be a story if it wasnt a broncos superstar.
if it was any average player from another club we would of stopped hearing about this after the first week.

Nah that's not true, it would make the news if your neighbour did it too.

Driving on the opposite side of the road, unlicensed, with a positive test? It's an extraordinary set of circumstances there.

You keep labouring under the presumption that him returning a positive drug test relates to the accident. I don't know any more about this case than you do, but I'd be surprised if it does. He wasn't reported to be drinking. That's far worse than any drug I know of. Even LSD.

You're more likely to veer across the road because you're not paying attention. More likely he was tired or looking at his phone. Or playing with the radio. Or whatever. Not paying attention. We don't know.

You don't get charged for any of those. Well, only if the cops catch you looking at your phone. Which they didn't.

So in reality there are 3 aspects to this case:

1. Driving without a licence
2. Returning a positive test for an undisclosed drug.
3. Having a prang.
4. Was he driving recklessly?

The courts are chocked with 1 & 2 every day. It's not newsworthy unless the perp is famous.

The prang is an accident. He'll get sued for damages. And because of 1 & 2, he'll probably have to foot the bill himself. Unless @Nashy is right and the car is covered, not the driver. I'm not sure I'm convinced about that one.

We have yet to hear why he veered across the road, but no doubt his lawyers will be trying to take 4 off the table.

I'm not in the loop with drugs and what exactly they do to one's state of mind but if it does come back positive after further testing to any sort of illicit substance, the optics of that are not good. I can only imagine it would be taken into consideration when punishment is handed down.

I was responding to whether or not this would have created the same heat in the news if it weren't a Bronco, I believe it would have, just because of how unbelievable it is. It's the combination of 1, 2 and 3. He's being cut a bit of slack on here because he plays for the team we all support but if you read about this in your local paper, you'd want his name and address.

How come nobody is interviewing the guy who was injured so badly that Sandon Smith was charged with grievous bodily harm? We got a single article 7 months after it happened, and then silence. Imagine if he was a Bronco.
Sandon Smith didn't score a hat trick in an all time classic GF.

It wouldn't have made the news. No one was killed. And even if they were, it's small town news.

You literally need to get back on the bike.

Is mam allowed to train during this whole process? I feel like he should be getting flogged in the heat and throwing up everyday as punishment. But that’s only if we’re keeping him employed,

He is currently in a rehab facility. Pending on charges and test results he could be on the stand down policy. I would assume he will be given some fitness work to do if he can't join the group.

The stand down policy is only for criminal matters with an 11+ year jail term outcome if guilty isn't it?

Technically

But the NRL do have discretion to apply it for other offences.

They won't in this case, and I'm pretty sure that suspended players are still permitted to play

👍 .......the main thing is,

he's chucking his guts up somewhere.
What drugs do you think he was on?

Be interesting to see how the narrative might change it it turns out to be painkillers. Might explain why he lost focus.

Stood down players can still train and be at the club using facilities and welfare services.

He won’t be stood down.

Oooh. Insider nibbly or just your opinion?
