I am not an idiot. I am a retired surveillance operative and have protected society from drug heads/criminals and people that steal oxygen just to start with. You need an education on life and not to call people names

Surveillance operative, judge, jury, and executioner by the sounds of it.

Huge percentage of drug addicts etc, have had significant and life-changing consequences as a result of unspeakable childhood trauma. Calling, or labelling all of them as oxygen thieves just tells me that you really need an education on life more so than anyone else here.

So in other words you were a cop.

I got called all sorts of names when I said this after the name calling incident.

It’s all about your intent and delivery. You meant it as an insult, and that he should cop racism.

I meant it in a sense where he’s seemingly not dealing with pressures, which has resulted in drug use.

Bringing this up shows that you’re quite fragile too

I think you'll find the majority of people finding some way to defend this are doing so because they're scared to their very core of him lining up in a Roosters jersey.

If any person in the community did this, you'd expect to see them locked up. There are only 2 things saving Ezra here, firstly nobody died and secondly he has ties with probably the richest sporting brand in Australia. He will be represented by the very best.

Driving unlicenced with a left over drug in his system and getting into an acco is jail time? FMD. A regular punter wouldn't be jailed for this, no change a "super star" footy player will.

It wouldn't even make the papers. This is what "regular punters" get up to:

Sure, because nobody died.

On what we know, someone could have easily died. Which is why he got lucky, which I alluded to.

It’s a massive decision for the club. What impact on the playing group does this decision, either way, have? What impact on Maguire is a standard setter does it have? What impact will it have on Mam as a player moving forward? Can he come back better or will he come back worse?

I have no idea the answer to any of these but the decision makers need to get it right…he’s signed to 2029 I think. If he comes back a shell, that’s long long time to be paying him and we have a new Milford type situation on our hands. Sack him and watch him smash it at another club, we have another Gagai.

I think personally the last thing we should be worrying about with Ezra is where he ends up. We cant worry he might join another club and do well. We have to make the decision thats right for the Broncos and the standards we want to set. We bottled big decisions imo with 2 of our so called better players and their behaviour and then we complain our culture may not be right. Make the decision that sends out a message to everyone about what we expect when you sign on to be a Bronco.

I would also add, while its took him way too long imo, fair play to Ezra for now owning what he did and his actions. If he wants help, and needs help, even if we terminate him i hope we still give him some support.
