I think personally the last thing we should be worrying about with Ezra is where he ends up. We cant worry he might join another club and do well. We have to make the decision thats right for the Broncos and the standards we want to set. We bottled big decisions imo with 2 of our so called better players and their behaviour and then we complain our culture may not be right. Make the decision that sends out a message to everyone about what we expect when you sign on to be a Bronco.

I would also add, while its took him way too long imo, fair play to Ezra for now owning what he did and his actions. If he wants help, and needs help, even if we terminate him i hope we still give him some support.

Maybe, but i'm pretty sure he would have known he was up shit creek. You dont check yourself into rehab if you didnt do anything wrong.

If you stuff up, just own it. I dont think delaying the inevitable would have made much difference.

Could have been something to do with legal reasons, I'm sure someone would know how that stuff works.
I heard not long after it happened Ezra wanted to reach out to those involved but wasn't allowed too.

I cant see any legal reason personally, unless he was initially planning to plead his innocence. Thats the only reason i can see why he didnt either reach out or come out and say he stuffed up and he was going to fix things as best he can.

Maybe he was hoping the drug test came back negative, although after going into rehab i think we all knew the outcome.

He didn't know what he was going to be charged with... it seems like his statement came out almost straight after the charges were released suggesting he will probably plead guilty and the lawyers will be sorting out a deal.

I think you'll find the majority of people finding some way to defend this are doing so because they're scared to their very core of him lining up in a Roosters jersey.

If any person in the community did this, you'd expect to see them locked up. There are only 2 things saving Ezra here, firstly nobody died and secondly he has ties with probably the richest sporting brand in Australia. He will be represented by the very best.

So the thing that saved him is the thing that didn't happen.

Mam would have likely been advised to to reach out personally.

This was always headed towards legal action both civilly and criminally. under those circumstances, even a first year law student would advise him not to contact the other parties

Well, i'll defer to my wife who is a clinical nurse. From what she tells me, if the bone is separated or fractured in more than one place , they treat it as a break. If its still together and reletivley minor, they treat it as a fracture even though if you want to be technical, a fracture is a break. But again, its not a one size fits all thing. Too many variables in this to actually say how minor or major the injury is.

She did say though she wouldnt have left hospital the next day if her hip was broken, you can if its a minor fracture. Thats the difference. I guess when the court case happens we might see just how bad it actually is. I'm leaning towards a hairline fracture.
