So Ch 7 has mooted plans to bid for the rights to Origins and Test Matches. And there are definite investigations into splitting the TV rights for different networks to carry different games.

Personally I think that this is going to be the best option to increase TV revenue for the game and I think it is definitely worth pursuing.

If nothing else, it will show to channel 9 the value of NRL as a product, and come in very handy when it comes to the re-negotiation for the primary contract
