Don't be a **** then Nashy. Told me I was making shit up in one post and now having a crack while missing my point to start and calling me stupid, not to mention the arrogance that seeps through your posts.
Would of moved over fulltime at 17 but going by this he would of played for a QLD junior club alot earlier. Would be close if they want to bend some rules.

I’m not that fussed, they still have to meet the eligibility rules of being born or debuting as a teenager in QLD or NSW.
International eligibility being all over the place just showed how easy it is flip from one country to another but realistically, we’re a melting pot now.

Its about time they got with the times. Now I dont have to here flogs like Gordon CONEHEAD argue and say it wouldnt hurt origin that if you play for your heritage country that you are banned from origin. I might get a game if they came out with that brainwave. Long live the whites.... morons.

He played at the Bears but went home and came back to play Under 17 and then stayed fulltime. I am assuming they take the fulltime move date not your holiday on the Coast.
Doesn't matter by no metric can he play Origin, wasn't born here, parent didn't play Origin, didn't move here before he turned 13.

I expect Ponga to make the call to change allegiance to NZ now that he doesn't have to give up Origin.
This decision will help strengthen the International game. Players who are or who will be in the future eligible for other Tier 1 nations don't have to worry about giving up playing for those nations because of Origin.

Its not like Radley was an automatic selection ?
Was he ever selected for NSW ? Other than emerging camps ?

The only time he was ever "selected" for NSW was when he wanted to use Origin to count for one of his suspensions.

I have seen a fair bit this morning about Hughes playing for QLD this year with the new rules and partnering Munster.
I think that'd be unbelievably harsh on Tommy Dearden, considering how well he has gone at that stage recently. At a guess, they are probably just running with this story due to Billy being from the Storm too, but barring injury Dearden is for me our starting 7 without question this year..

The reporting has been that Hughes could play for QLD ... Probably because they're trying to hide how much this benefits NSW.
But from one of the podcasts (I forget which one), they say he arrived in Australia 6 months too late to be eligible for QLD

I just don’t see how players can truly consider themselves Queenslanders or NSWelshman, thus worthy of the jersey, if they don’t also consider themselves Australian. It’s already been diluted with Tier 2 players allowed
