Wayne Bennett has been installed as head coach of the camp and the St George Illawarra mentor will run the rule over 14 players earmarked for future State of Origin honours over three days from January 22.

Queensland's four-time Origin-winning coach and Maroons legend Mal Meninga will act as his assistant.

Four players retained their spot in the annual camp - Broncos flyer Steve Michaels, Penrith dangerman Maurice Blair, South Sydney halfback Chris Sandow and his new Rabbitohs teammate, ex-Broncos wrecking ball David Taylor.

After stellar seasons for the Broncos, hooker Andrew McCullough and winger Jharal Yow Yeh have been given a nod.
