Ah, so you're they guy they write "Do not use in shower" on hair dryers for?

Michaels was f*cking phenomenal for a while there. Was playing sensational footy and I thought he'd see rep well before the likes of Boyd. Then he got injured. Hasn't been the same since.

Steve Tate?

Wayne Bennett has been installed as head coach of the camp and the St George Illawarra mentor will run the rule over 14 players earmarked for future State of Origin honours over three days from January 22.

Nothing wrong with Michaels being in the squad. He had an awful year but he's still got potential, as long as he learns to defend!!!

It will be funny when Michaels has a superb year, and all you guys do an about-face and start creaming your pants over him.

And if Michaels has a superb year who wouldnt be creaming?

Simple fact is if your shit, the fans will call you shit, if your awesome the fans will call you awesome.

Total loss of confidence in himself in the end of the year. I do believe he was a scapegoat for some of the defensive problems in the team but he also made some horrible decisions in defence (but so did Boyd through 2007, and look how he's improved this year).

He wasnt a scapegoat, he was genuinely horrible. in that canberra game, he single handedly let in about 5 tries. it had been happening all year too, hed get caught way out of position, make bad decisions on when to come in or stay out, and even when he did make the right decision his attempted tackles are generally horrible.

he wont have a superb year, he doesnt have it in him.

This is 100% correct, and other teams noticed and exploited it too.

He does have it in him, he just lacks the confidence which sadly i dont seem him regaining anytime soon.

confidence means nothing when youre just genuinely not good enough for A grade football.
