Sydney Roosters have axed chief executive Stephen Noyce

My forecast for SBW . Will not play more than half a season due to injury. I cannot see how he will be 'hard' enough to last a season. By that I do not mean he lacks courage or anything like that, just that he has not been playing the hardest game around and will not have the match/pain fitness required. If he does play he will get hurt very quickly and struggle to recover. He is still a great athlete in my opinion and I would like to have him in my imaginary team.

My forecast is he keeps up te boxing charade and gets a career ending concussion and has to become a scaffolder.

As much interest as SBW would bring to the code if he returned (and I have no problem playing for a club like the Chooks) I still think it'd be a bad long term signing.

Would take awhile to adjust and for a club like the Roosters who need instant results I can't see how it bodes well.

Chooks making some serious changes, let's see how it pans out for them. They haven't really meant anything since 2004.

My forecast is that this is going to end in tears between SBW and the NRL. SBW does what the **** he wants to do. In fact, he and Quade are making a mockery of the code; "we come as a packaged deal". Yeah right. ARU sees that for what it is, Roosters get excited about the prospect of Quade on their roster as well and sack Noyce probabaly because he's up in arms about the lot of it.

As much as he is an entertainer, the NRL can't accept SBW coming back to the game on his terms. He will shit all over the administration. If they've got no control over him (or his mouth) now, what happens when (not if) there is some crisis?

The latest from the new CEO is "I have no idea whether he has signed on yet". He's going to fight a has been boxer (Botha) in the off-season and then maybe show up for training in early 2013. Wouldn't be good for team spirit making exceptions for the "high profile" signing.

AFWIW, James Maloney will do more for the Roosters than SBW will.

My crystal ball involves a Coogee Beach Hotel, SBW, bouncers... OR actually... A mid-year (actually, make that pre-finals once the Roosters are closing in on the wooden spoon) midnight sojourn to the US/Europe for [boxing match][support his brother Mundine][just for the hell of it][to take some time off after a hectic year][play Gridion] and the Roosters umming and ahhing to the media, the IC umming and ahhing about enforcement "to the full extent permitted by the law" and the AFL and ARU laughing their arses off.

On the topic of SBW. Despite him being a freakish talent he is a greedy pig as Subsbligh perfectly said only acts in the intrest of himself. He is one of those people that think just because their high-profile sportsmen they can get away with and do whatever they want. What he did to the Bulldogs when he left was one of the lowest things i've seen any kind of sportsperson do. On topic of the thread Canavan is a very good administrator and I hope he can restore credibility to the Roosters although I can't see them becoming a force anytime soon.

what the bulldogs did to sonny was not to good either . signed him up on a cheap 5 year contract

i cannot post to much cause my last post in this thread received an infraction.
reports are rooster signed mick potter from uk superleague as there new coach
