Badel & Meyn are talking up Mal's latest offer to our David Fifita, rumoured to be a 5 year contract at a million dollars a year - the highest for any forward yet. There's even talk Mal might raise it to a "lifetime" deal, spanning 10 years. B&M claim the Broncos can only bid 700K a season and cannot afford a bidding war with the Titans.

No stranger to deals.

Lovable Bronco's ex-skipper, Gorden Tallis, who's now a Titans' ambassador, says:

“It would be a great move for Fifita. When you get a young kid that is so good it can be a game-changer for your club because everyone comes along with it. It can take only one signing to change things. Glenn Lazarus at the Melbourne Storm set the culture. Greg Inglis went to South Sydney. Sam Burgess went to a struggling South Sydney at a young age and ended up winning a premiership. Johnathan Thurston was the same at the Cowboys. Ask him which grand final win means more to him – playing in a star-studded Bulldogs team (2004) or getting his own team across the line (2015) at the Cowboys. Dave Fifita has to think about how he wants to be challenged and remembered.”

Ha challenge ... either try and get the spoon team with zero history a premiership (note they may also go bankrupt)... or try and reinstate a former powerhouse to its rightful place with a squad of players all around the same age that you've grown up playing footy with and your best mate in Haas

Also noting that a story was run like 2 days ago that Fifita doesn't want to sign long term because he doesn't want to pay his current manager... NOTE to Mal if you lock him into a 10 yr deal he'll be paying the guy he doesn't want to pay for the rest of his career

If they got Fifita to go along with Fa'asuamaleaui the Gold coast would probably have the best back row in the NRL for years to come.

Let's ask the important question - why should Fifita stay?

This is just Gordy and his mates in the media trying to sink the boot in even further now we are playing the Titans this week. They probably offered him that amount months ago and decide to make a story out of it now. That said, if I were a bronco who was actually putting effort in I would want out of this rabble.

Let’s not all forget who we are playing this week. It’s the tits tryna play games, whilst the boot is already well into the broncos.
