Tedesco backflips on the Raiders

I don't know about that Ari - word is that Carney, Dugan & Ferguson were given too many chances by the Raiders and it got to the point where it all just boiled over and it left them with no other option.

For me, they're an example of being too forgiving of a player's off-field exploits and basically having to face the consequences of that.

Not to mention, when you sign a player like Campo you know half the battle is trying to keep him fit. Just like our co-captain really.

Dugan and Ferguson definitely had to go for the way they dissed their team. I don't have any knowledge of the Carney situation, but what he did didn't seem as adversarial to his team than the actions of the Dugan and Ferguson.

Regardless, they've developed more quality players than most of the other teams in the comp and have less than **** all* to show for it.

Yeah that's more how I saw it. They were too soft on the players, too quick to dismiss off-field stuff because of the talent of the players. It's harsh, but this is entirely all their own fault. I feel really sorry for the fans, but not the club.

You know what? I actually feel for Raiders fans, it's a real dick move to sign and backflip in basically a week, it's like he did it just to force a better deal from the Tigers but I'm happy for the Tigers.

Truth be told, Ricky and Furner are the most deserving of this, especially with all the bullshit they put Milford through and I have no doubt that's made all of their potential signings think twice seeing the club have no compassion to the players circumstances.

This is exactly my thoughts. I do genuinely feel sorry for the good fans like Worm etc. because their club is in a world of hurt currently and in all seriousness I struggle to see how they get out of this, but hope they do.

As for all the other fans that ripped into the eels when Papalli backflipped and were praying milford would do the same, then wished injury upon him when it became obvious he wouldn't (the same ones are now wishing that on tedesco). Those guys can go EAD and I don't have a scrap of sympathy for them.

Its just as likely that Tedesco signed on the understanding that Stuart had also locked up Proctor, Ennis and Mansour and Tedesco was about the become a part of a resurgence at the Raiders. The next few days after he signs he reads Proctor is a done deal and then suddenly he stays at the Storm, Mansour knocks back more money to stay at the Panthers and Ennis takes less money to go to the Sharks of all clubs.

Hard to call it a dick move when we dont know what kind of club he was promised the Raiders would be.

I'd feel disappointed but every keen NRL follower knows its a possibility. I wouldnt call it a dick move though as i have no way of knowing the personal situations of these players.

Look at Milford, there were many on here getting ready to accept the announcement he was staying in Canberra when the rumours of $1M salaries came out. None of us would have liked it but those are the current rules.
