I think it was the only time that I was glad Manly won the Grand Final.

They hit Ashton Sims so hard with a minute to go and the game apparently lost that the ball was jolted free and Blair said the emotion of that win carried them through to the grand final.

Watched the entire game over a few years ago, one thing that striked me was how many fucking errors there were from both sides - 15 a piece.

Bennett's reaction when it looked like Hannant had scored and the subsequent shuffle back to the seat when he found out Slater had saved it made sure he never celebrated early again in a game that tight.

I don't think people realise just how perfect Manu's hit on Sims was, I was right on line with it unfortunately :laugh:

Manly weren't going to lose that Grand Final no matter who they played against so that always comforts me.

2011 is more bullshit, we annihilated the Warriors yet somehow they make it to the GF only to put in a limp dick performance.

I know I'll be able to die peacefully so long as we never lose a GF to those a-holes, but how much of the flogging the Storm got was because of a) revenge for the '07 GF and b) no Cam Smith. Everyone knows Melbourne are nowhere near the team they are without him. He plays, they may not even lose imo
