A huge fail. Yow Yeh was comfortably the best of the lot and his career was cruely cut short. Hoffman is trash, Glenn is journeyman level, Kahu is an out of form injury magnet, Hunt is Hunt, McC is bog average and McGuire seems like he doesn't give a shit anymore.
Journeyman level for glenn is bloody harsh.
Also do you blokes cut and paste each other’s terms? Where the hell did ‘bog average’ come from? Reckon 5 at least must be throwing that around
What ever happened to J.Kahu the former? He seemed really talented and just disappeared.
Went to school with Troydon, he was a gun, not sure why he never kicked on to the NRL.
He is back, welcome back BP.Easy Pass.
Of all 16 clubs, the Brisbane Broncos have the most NRL representation from that 88-90 class. Considering the average NRL career lasts 3 years that's a wonderful achievement from the club.
Keep in mind, not much was expected from this Broncos squad. The Broncos were one of the few teams who made it clear from the inception of NYC that they weren't going to play their best and brightest. That meant players like Dave Taylor, Joel Moon & Rodney Davies didn't see a second of NYC football. Even a player like Troyden Watene-Edwards was initially prevented from playing NYC until his form (and lack there of) merited it. FWIW, the Cowboys poached him, Jared Kahu, Will Tupou and Tariq Sims from the Broncos.
The GF side wasn't a true reflection of the talent coming through the club either. It's missing names like Matt Gillett, Tariq Sims and Gerard Beale who went onto do bigger and better things.
