SPOILER The dynasty begins: The Brisbane Broncos are winning the 2024 NRL Premiership

Hoping the sharks win it for us today (get some momentum off the Dragons too). Parra aren't as bad as their position suggests, and they'll be keen to avoid the spoon. Raiders beat Penrith, so wouldn't put it past them being able to beat the Dragons.

If Melbourne play full strength against us, I hope we destroy their players.
Both Parramatta and the Raiders have something to play for.
Parramatta avoiding the spoon and the Raiders still could sneak into the 8 if results go their way. Their for and against is horrible but if the dragons loose today and then the Raiders beat the dragons and the roosters then if we Redcliffe and newcastle don't win both our games their in.

It doesn't look soo unachievable now tbh, Dolphins are going to be behind us now so aslong as Sharks win Tommorow we are only 2 points behind Dragons with a F/A that is way too high for them to catch, just need Parra or Canberra to beat them.

The Talk of Storm brining a full team out of spite though is the concern, but Surely with the Minor prem locked up they with rotate players for their next two.
Even less unachievable now! Love the Sharks!*

*for today only.

If we can go into the finals on the back of 2 big performances against the Storm and the Dolphins, then i reckon we can actually go pretty deep into the finals and shock a few people. We need to get that momentum going then who knows.

The Storm also know this. Do you think anyone wants us in the finals? We’ve been poor a lot of the season but the best sides know what we are capable of, the Storm will want to knock us out of finals, it’s in their interests to do so. If we can somehow make it and welcome back Haas and Walsh, we can win it from 8th.

The last top tier game we won was against the Storm: last year in the finals.

Dragons are like the worst top eight team ever so theyd much rather them

The more likely scenario is we suffer a bad loss in the first week and bow out.

Like '99, like '07, like '19, so much effort goes into just making the finals, that's their only focus, that when they finally do make it, it's like mentally the switch just flicks off.

Bellamy confirms mass resting of players for the Cows game

Queensland Origin star Harry Grant is among a posse of Melbourne players set to be rested for Thursday’s clash against the Cowboys in Townsville.
Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy has confirmed several Storm stars will be placed in cotton wool, with Grant one of the most likely to be omitted given his injury-plagued 2024 campaign.

The Maroons hooker battled a sternum problem during the Origin series and has played through the pain barrier for several months.

The Storm wrapped up the minor premiership on Saturday night with a 48-6 win over the Dolphins, giving Bellamy the luxury to give his big guns a breather two weeks out from the finals.

Revelations Bellamy will rest his stars for the Cowboys represents a nightmare for the Broncos, who face the Storm in the final round at Suncorp Stadium.

With Brisbane’s finals hopes hanging by a thread, Broncos fans were hoping Bellamy would rest several Melbourne players in the final week, but the Storm will instead field a depleted team against the Cowboys.

If the Broncos can't beat the Storm in the last round before the finals, then chances are they would probably lose in the finals too. So its probably for the best the Storm field a real side anyway. Either end it early and give us something to be excited about.

I see this as an opportunity to kick start our finals run with a win against the minor premiers. Am I deluded? Yes… unequivocally
I seriously think we are a chance. Getting past Redcliffe first will give us a boost and when we get to Storm we have zero to lose.
Bellamy will be death riding Parra this week.
The game doesn't matter so much that he will play Grant and Munster with their injuries, and you never know who else in their side need to rest a bit longer this time of the year

The Storm side we played in the finals was very very different to the Storm side that's currently minor premiers.

It was great to end the hoodoo, but Storm were complete rubbish that night and that helped a fair bit. The side they are now is several levels above what they were then.

Then you compare the side we are now to then. We are too fragile at the moment.
