One thing that excites me is that he is not being too specific. He's not talking about playing heavy metal in training or burning boats. That may sound counter-intuitive but it tells me he is coming in with no pre-concieved ideas of players "should" react but instead seems willing to adapt to what he finds.
It's a big task before him and in many ways the actual team might be the easiest thing to fix. Harder still will be the player development pathways and junior talent identification networks. I got a feeling we need a lot of work in those areas and it's not something I'm as confident he can fix.
Too many of our younger players are coming into the team missing some elementary skills, lacking discipline or both. Whilst I'm not as well across the junior base we have as other posters here, it looks pretty obvious that things are awry.
That's one thing a Bellamy or his like could address and something Walters needs help with.
