OFFICIAL The Kevolution - (Walters new coach of the Broncos)

Don't know whether it is just the happiness of having an actual former great Bronco (and a very likeable one at that) on board, but I am predicting Kev's reign as our coach to be 2nd to only WB in terms of length. I really can see Kev being our leader here for the next 10 years. He will be that successful.

Listening to Kev on 360, he sounds like a man with a plan. He knows what needs to be done. I'm buzzing having Kevvy back in the fold, bring it on.

Viva la Kevolution! (did you coin this term @abashii?)
Unfortunately not, I saw it used here and took a shine to it.

His coaching history. The things he has said. There is a reason he has always been denied when going for all those other jobs.

The only real hands on work he should be doing is with the halves.

Nonsense! The reason he has not been successful getting other roles is because it was his, and our destiny, for him to become the 2nd greatest Bronco coach after WB. This was something that was always meant to be.

Which part of his coaching history, surely you are not talking about the part where he coached the Clydesdales to a premiership.

You would not be talking about his history of taking the Ipswich Jets who had finished 9th in the two preceding seasons before he arrived there to 4th in his 1st season and then to the minor premiership in his second season.

Or perhaps you are talking about Catalans where in his first season there they made the finals and the team wound up in the semi final, one game away from the grand final and beaten by the eventual winners ,Leeds Rhinos. Was that what you were referring to?

Or perhaps it was his highly successful stints as an assistant coach at Melbourne and Brisbane where he was responsible for coaching the attack (the attack that took Brisbane to a grand final in 2015). Was that what you were referring to?

If not, it must be his history in State of Origin where he won his first two series and he has managed to run NSW close with a vastly inferior squad.

You might guess from the above that I believe your opinion is flawed and of little weight.

We just got a new coach and the discussion is the lack of a presser. Who fucking cares?
Theres our problem - nobody fucking cares. Nothing wrong with doing it right once in a while - might just rub off on the players.

Given he's now head coach, he gets to determine exactly what his hands touch, and the same for his assistants. The unpalatable alternative is that the board gets to coach. Ewww

This is why Kev had to be the man appointed as coach. Just like that, how many fans are buzzing today? I’m pretty pumped for season 2021 already and can’t wait for the team to start pre-season so they can begin the rebuild.

Absolutely thrilled with the news. Unlike our last coaching appointment where I was hating everything about how it went down, I'm totally on board for this and can't wait to see what Kevin does with the club.

I'm a huge fan of KW as a human, he just comes across as a genuine, lovable legend of a bloke. I don't know how he'll fare as a coach, but I'm absolutely cheering for him all the way. I reckon he'll do an awesome job and make us a competitive, cohesive unit again. WB had an aura about him which made him easy to believe and get behind, and I think KW has the potential to be that bloke for us again.

2 years is an excellent result for the club too, he has to prove himself to get extended instead of being given a stupid contract right off the bat.

Here's hoping for a much better 2021, I'll be happy to just be a competitive team again and scrape into the 8, anything above that will greatly exceed my expectations.

It is really nice to at least like the coach again.
Absolutely. All the burn the boats crap rubbed me the wrong way with Seibold pretty early on. Why the **** would you burn the boats and tear down the legacy of such a proud and successful club? It was a shit attitude and no wonder the place went to shit.

Walters bleeds Broncos and his passion alone will turn this joint around from the joke of the league to being a good team again. He's also doing an excellent job of hiring good assistants immediately instead of Demas Wong, Ben fucking Cross and Peter Gentle. Who the **** are those guys? What pedigree do they have in the game or in our club? It was a tough ask to even like our coaching team before. Seibold's arrogance of trying to be too fancy was his downfall.

You just know Walters isn't an arrogant **** because even after everything, he didn't hold a grudge and did everything possible to become our head coach and his happy tears in the interview with The King is telling. That's the passion our club lost when we sacked Bennett and hired a no personality gronk for a coach. Bring on the Kevolution.

Milfs going huge next year*

*not a fat joke
Yeah I generally agree there’s one or two players in that squad that if they buy into kevvie they could absolutely pop off and have an amazing season... fingers crossed 🤞
