It's a fact that players will 'milk' a penalty if the opportunity presents itself but I'm fearful that we're going the way of the EPL and breeding a strain of prima donnas who will consistently roll around feigning a life-threatening injury on the off chance that the video ref will spot some kind of infringement.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not promoting dangerous play but I just watched Brett Morris rolling around after a so-called 'crusher' tackle, grab the penalty then jump up and hare away like a greyhound (sorry about the mixed metaphors).
I know it's a tough call for the refs but it stands to ruin the flow of the game and we'll have some kind of half-baked, hybrid version of the greatest game in the world that will depend more on academy winning performances than pure footballing talent.
