This Broncos group wouldn't be the first to go out a night before the game, and they won't be the last.

Hell, I've seen Origin players out on the town the night before a game.

Well that should put a pin in Gillett being the new captain. Those three senior players should be sacked, too bad Boyd wasn't with them, that would have made getting rid of him easier.

I know they technically weren't doing anything 'wrong' and none of them were drunk/causing a disturbance, but that's hardly the best way to prepare for a huge game, and the way they played reflected that. It's also a reflection of what they think of their team mates, their coach, and their fans. So **** em.

Well that rules out Gillett as captain imo. An away game, in the finals and being out past 11pm when you have a 4pm game the next day isn't okay. If we had one, they would get away with it. But when you lose 58-0, you don't.

This should be a breach of their contract and terminate Macca and Gillett please.

In the scheme of losing 58-0 this seems a lot worse than it is.

6 players going for a quiet drink and slap of the pokies and back at the hotel by midnight for a 4pm game the next day i don't think is unreasonable, but probably not ideal.

I'd love McCulloughs contract to be ripped up as much as the next guy but shouldn't be because of this

Would be worse if Seibold had instructed them about a strict curfew but nothing i read suggested that.

IMO there is no issue, these guys haven't done anything wrong. You can criticise their performance on the field without doubt, I'll join you on that.

But guys having a flutter at 9pm, 350m away from their hotel and all of them are back before midnight not having touched a drop of alcohol? Sorry, they might be athletes and we might be fans but they are young and allowed to live their life to some extent.
