I tell you what's embarrassing. Cheating a salary cap for millions without punishment, bringing and engrained dangerous wrestling techniques into the game, having about 2 Victorians in their squad after 30 bloody years of success and origins, doing zero for the development and growth of the game (that couldn't have been achieved with a few more origins and about 5 development officers based in victoria). If the Storm didn't make the 8 every year they would collapse within 3 years.

THAT is embarrassing.... but still, not as embarrassing as queenslanders who support them or have them as their 2nd team.

Might not have been 20 years if Melbourne storm didn't systematically cheat the salary cap by millions of dollars every year...

2007, 2008 and 2009 we got knocked out in the finals by them. The year's THEY CHEATED.

Disgusting clubs that has done nothing for the game I love. In fact, I can categorically say the game would be in a far better place without them, and you'd find it hard to find a non-melbourne "fan" who wouldn't agree with that. Give them our 2019-2021 and they would fold, after 30 years. The game would also be in a better place in qld without them. Supporting them as a queenslander is more embarrassing than a team having any lack of success. Bandwagoners.

And they have the nerve to display fake trophies in their club house for those years that they cheated.

How dare you suggest that they've done nothing for the game! They invented the wrestle, chicken wing, hip thruster, cannonball, and skull crusher.

So many things that have made this game so great!!!!!

I get that comparison is the thief of joy, but the possibility of this trash club in purple having a long period of no success sustains me.

There’s every chance Melbourne have about 20 minutes of near on unplayable footy in them and then after that, they are there for the taking if you can stay with them.

They’ve put teams away in that first 20 multiple times this year and then sort of faded into a comfortable 40 point win, they deadset could have put 70 on Parra earlier in the year but for whatever reason they just dropped off. It’s hardly a criticism given how many teams they’ve belted but they looked a very very beatable team in that 2nd half tonight. I think NZ beat them in the 2nd half last week as well.

Their team is extremely overrated outside of their spine, however I still think they're the team to beat in the finals. The rule book will go out the window and games will become grinds which favours them massively: the rest of the team will play their roles like robots to get them up the field, the wrestle and offsides will be blatant, and their spine will subsequently have all the time and space in the world to set up points.
