As true as your post is, and I couldn't agree more....
Sad reality is, it will never stop.

Humans will always generalise, blacks = criminals, german = gay, blah blah, and it's just plain wrong and ignorant. I don't understand how so many people pre-judge you on where you're from, it fucking sucks, but I don't think it will ever change for as long as there is something called media.

I was reading this article about a suicide bomber who was Mexican, although I didn't see that two words mentioned in whole article, it went like "man takes his own life with explosives which kills 9 people in a deadly attack, no terrorists no words like that, yet i flicked down a few pages, suicide bomber in xxx kills 4 civilians.


I'm not pointing out anything particular, as the way i see it, no matter where your from or what colour, there is always people out there who will stereotype you. To me it seems the media is certainly the most influential factor in inciting racism, fascism and hatred in general.

If the scum media in this world would focus on positives and not negatives, I no doubt this world would be a MUCH better place.

That's me, but it's obvious as daylight the press is more agenda driven then word agenda itself.
That's not just on social issues btw, it goes for sport and pretty much anything, just like this year most focus on RL has been in a negative light.

Truth is, there's much more good in this world then bad, yet finding a positive story these days is a special search mission.

There will always be ethnic-based violence. The media has nothing to do with that. The only fallacy is that white gangs don't also exist to stir trouble.

It's a society problem. Look at the areas this happens. Logan. Inala. Redfern. Areas with massive social and economic problems. As it happens, those areas have high populations of various ethnicities.

The problem is middle class Australia is told things are so great here, even despite the economic problems, that we're conditioned to forget there are thousands of battlers. And those battlers get desperate. And desperation can and does turn to violence.
