Back to Gilbert.
While I dislike him in the sense that they thought they could replace Vossy with him, I don't dislike him solely for that reason.
It's the minimal knowledge that hurts me.
He comes across as the guy who never missed a day of class but always maintained a C average. Willing to show up was just enough for him and he doesn't have to try hard or learn anything about the game or the players he's talking about.
If I have one hang up on Vossy it's that he can flog some serious dead horses. I get that he's trying to create a narrative but sometimes it feels really disconnected to what's going on and he's just forcing it in there.
But it's a mere nitpick.
