Having said all that, I honestly think Broncos deserved their victory.

Sure you do [icon_lol1.

Honestly, I do, fingers crossed.

I think I'd rather face Eels in Sydney than Storm in Melbourne anyway.

Hope you guys can make it to the Grand Final. Could think of nothing better than beating you on that day. _woohoo_

You guys crack me up. Everything the Broncasses do is on the back of skill and determination and everything the Titans do is fluke. Gordon fluked his intercept but Taylor's was all skill.
The Broncos played badly in the second half so that was the only reason the lowly Titans got back into the game.
Show a little respect to other teams and you might get some back. There are two teams fighting hard on the pitch.
Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe the Titans got back into the game because of their skill and determination.
I can only pray and hope that we get into the final and get to play the Broncasses.
But I can't see that happening because you guys will have to beat Manly or the Dragons.
Pity.
Anyway the TITANS will represent Queensland proudly in the Grand Final.

Tell your wanka coach to do the same then clown.

Who are you calling a clown. Don't start calling people names because you can't take a bit of stirring. What ever happened to friendly rivalry. The trouble with some of you guys is your to quick to get personal, even with your own team.

You're on a broncos forum dipshit. If you go "stirring" then people will insult you. If you don't like it then piss off back to your own forum.

The likelihood of the Titans even making the Grand Final is about equal to that of Kirsty Alley riding the Melbourne Cup winner.

To quote JW's sig from last year: The Titans will forever be in the shadow of the Broncos icon_thumbs_u

I wouldn't mind seeing a Broncos Titan grand final myself, if only to piss off all of those people south of the border who believe that NSW is the centre of the universe. Plus, there would be a heap of tickets for Broncos and titans fans to snap up.

Wow, Walker's fast becoming one of my more disliked players.

I have no problem with friendly rivalry, but the insults that were dished out to Broncos fans before the game and the sour way many Titans fans took the loss was difficult to cop.

Anyway, good luck to you, you've got bucklies against Jarryd Hayne and his band of merry men.

Good to see some boots being sunk into Cartwright and his band of whingers.

Titans take whining to a new level

TEAMS that concede 40 points in a rugby league semi-final have no business whingeing about anything in the game.

The Gold Coast's NRL club is three years old and much of the rugby league community is keen to bounce the Titans on their knee, regarding them as lovable.

Three-year-olds, I find, tend to want their own way. When they don't get it, they usually scream the house down.

The reaction by coach John Cartwright, occasional first-grader Chris Walker and several Titans players indicates the club is still some way off being the mature footballing organisation their many advocates claim it to be.

The Titans have done many admirable things, on and off the field, in less than three seasons, but there is a pattern of behaviour towards refereeing which is making them much less lovable.

Cartwright's ref attack wide of mark

SINCE their arrival in the NRL three years ago, the Gold Coast Titans and head coach John Cartwright have added enormously to the rugby league landscape.

With managing director Michael Searle, Cartwright has taken the Titans from a dream and turned them into a serious premiership contender in just three years. He is highly respected by his players and well-liked throughout the competition.

However, Cartwright's bitter and misplaced post-match rant about the officiating in Saturday night's thrilling south-east Queensland derby at Skilled Park did himself, his club and the game a disservice. While the NRL allows coaches and players to voice, within reason, their views on match officials, the increasing desire for them to use this as a crutch to mask the failings of their team is becoming tiresome in the extreme.

Referees, video referees and touch judges are human, just like coaches and players. Members of all parties are guilty of mistakes. In a game as fast and as intense as Saturday night's Titans-Broncos match, no one is going to get everything right and for Cartwright to suggest the whistle-blowers' mistakes cost his side the chance of victory is to ignore completely the input of players from both sides.

It is insulting to the Broncos, who were the better side in what was one of the most entertaining matches in recent memory. And it conveniently glosses over some of the errors made by the men in blue and gold. By the count of the official match statistician the Titans made 11 errors ... missed 34 tackles as well.

Oh thank God, it's good to see someone being reasonable. I couldn't believe it when they blew up about the refereeing!!

Prince did agree that Walker had taken Lockyer out illegally.

http://news.leaguehq.com.au/breaking-ne ... -fnt1.html

WTF are the crying about then... Prince agrees Locky was taken out so STFU

from the same article

Brisbane chief executive Bruno Cullen had his own gripe about Walker's antics when Corey Park was attempting to convert prop Dave Taylor's intercept try to push the lead out to eight points with a few minutes left.

"He was leaning on the goal post and yelling out at Corey Parker as he attempted to convert Dave's try," said Cullen.

"If he had missed he would have been entitled to another kick and that would have given them something else to whinge about."

Walker is a grub and shows bad sportsmenship. that is another disgraceful act from Walker during the match.

All that had to be done was for them to watch the match replay and have a look at the stats. But nooo... they had to whinge and cry foul from the second the full time hooter went.

You may be able to understand this bad sportsmanship from some of the younger players, but from people like Cartwright and Walker is just poor.

Cheers to Prince who seems to be the only one able to cop the late penalty on the chin.

I watched the match, twice to be certain. Yes I'm a bronco supporter but for the life of me it was no different than any other average game. By that I mean it did not contain any really contentious decisions or major mistakes. It was a run of the mill game in many ways. So I'm very surprised anyone could think it was a poor refereeing performance that cost the gold coast any chance. Walkers effort to block Folau was a straight out infringement, it never even looked like any thing else. No effort to get to the ball but an obvious effort to impede the defence.

The hit on Lockyer from Walker was actually and potentially serious. Although replays did not clearly show the point of contact my gut feeling tells me it was more than a shove, Locky always wants to be part of the action. He never stays down if he can help it,usually bouncing straight back to his feet. I thought Walkers elbow came into contact near or on Lockyers throat. In any case though it was a blatant and obvious penalty. It simply could not be defended in any way and very few would disagree(especially in say,12 months time when it's old news). Imagine them playing the footage in a years time on some footy show and they posed the question generally..is this a penalty ? We all know it'd be 99% of the footysmart people saying...blow that whistle ref.

Cartwrights way off on this one but it does highlight how irrational people can be and how screwed their view can be when you bring in the emotion of sport. Needless to say, only religion and politics create weirder leaps of reason.

I thought Paul Malone had a good point when he said that the Titans players' opinions (that they lost respect for the Big D) would carry more weight if they actually put their name to them.

The precious pissing and moaning from the Breasts players and staff has been relentless over the past 2 seasons. Keep it up you clowns, you're building just the kind of reputation i've hoped for.

Prince was whinging just as much as the rest of them, particularly at the press conference questioning darren's integrity - when he's done more then fluke a GF he can talk

The only titan who took responsibility for their game was Bailey who said he felt responsible for the pass that Taylor intercepted - maybe he should be appointed to coach and Cartwright down to water boy

Oh, did anyone read the axe's column about how he was screaming for play to be halted leading up to the taylor try? He was hanging with Rogers after his fall (which was rough) but seriously, it was 30 metres from the play at the time - sooking about absolutely everything

not only that but the Titans had possession [icon_lol1.

I can't remember an instance when a game was stopped immediately for a player 30 metres away who wasn't knocked out cold. Correct me if otherwise though.

I did love the Folau/Walker one.. quitely clearly walker is looking over his shoulder at Folau then changes his running line AWAY from the direction of where the ball is going. The Titans are kidding themselves if they want to complain about that.

It happens, but only if the player is in the defensive team. That's seen as a disadvantage playing on leaving a team defending with 12.

Yeah. The hypocrisy of Walker claiming Locky took a dive when Walker went sprawling after Folau put a hand on his shoulder...FFS.

What's funny with them not stopping the game, is that on NRL on fox John Cartwright was saying how his team benefits from a fast game with not too many stoppages. If they stopped the clock for Rogers and subsequently got pinned deep in their territory, they would have been whinging too.
