Titans Vs. Broncos *SPOILER*

You guys crack me up. Everything the Broncasses do is on the back of skill and determination and everything the Titans do is fluke. Gordon fluked his intercept but Taylor's was all skill.
The Broncos played badly in the second half so that was the only reason the lowly Titans got back into the game.
Show a little respect to other teams and you might get some back. There are two teams fighting hard on the pitch.
Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe the Titans got back into the game because of their skill and determination.
I can only pray and hope that we get into the final and get to play the Broncasses.
But I can't see that happening because you guys will have to beat Manly or the Dragons.
Pity.
Anyway the TITANS will represent Queensland proudly in the Grand Final.

Thats gold and hypocrisy at it's best. If you listen to the Channel 9 commentators(infact according to them all penalities awarded to the Broncos were harsh against the Titans), Titan's fans, their players and their own coach it was the referee and only the referee that cost them the match and no calls went against the Broncos, wasn't the Broncos that were the better side in the end that won. In the end the referee mad calls that went against both sides, DEAL WITH IT.

Tell your wanka coach to do the same then clown.

There was a guy in the away supporters bay 14 last night who looked like the guy from the broncos NRMA ad. He even jumped up and danced like him for everyone as well...not sure if it was him but it did look like it! Being in the away supporters section was great, the cheering and chants were the loudest I'd ever experienced!

Come on Jim fair suck of your snag.. this is a Broncos forum dude, of course people are gunna talk up our team, like the chick did in the legion section 5 mins before the game, her home ground shes allowed. And the chick who wrote the article in the Gold Coast Bully who wrote that a 1 Mr Dave Kirby said we Broncos fans should prepare for a barrage of racy chants and to get sent back to the glue factory. Again her paper your city again no problem. And I have even read on the Titans forum posters over there doing the exact same thing that your complaining at Broncos posters are doing here.

So its a 2 way street man. Plus, with the rivalry between our 2 clubs did you expect it to be all tea and cucumber sangas in here after the game. Hell no.

And if you guys do make the GF, I will proudly but quitely cheer you on... for QLDS sake only :)

And respect is given when its given back.... My team is the BRONCOS... not the Broncasses. Sorry just being petty. :)

And on a side note... who and when do the Titans play... what are the possible scenarios?

If the Dragons win, the Titans will be playing Melbourne in Melbourne.

I think.

That's the most likely one.

and if the dragons lose they will play parra at parra.

i dont like the Titans chances against the Storm in Melbourne.

I love the Broncos chances against the Eagles in Brisbane

And big Jim was worried about us playing Manly at home when the TITANS might have to play the Storm at home.

On the Footy Show, Lyons is gone for the season with his shoulder. Hopefully Watmough will be out with his knee injury as well.

Re Jim's comments, I went over to the Titans forum and I agree with Tee, a lot of the comments on there largely match what was being said here in terms of bias. What do you expect, we each support our teams. I just thought it was a great game, the best finals game so far. The Titans had a chance to win it, they had all the momentum in the second half, but at the end of the day, they threw the game away with those two intercept trys. You can blame the refs all you want, but there were dodgy decisions both ways, but they lost that game through their own actions.

They played superbly to come back the way they did, on the back of some poor defence from the Broncs, but we were able to regain enough composure to close it out at the home ground of a team that had won 11 from 12 this season. So ultimately, credit to our guys, I think the better team by a smidgin won.

Now on the Roast, harping on about how the Titans were robbed.

to be fair they did rob themselves by not playing to standard in the first half

Chris Walker is a knob who the hell tries and blokes Folau running full ball, if anything that would have and should have been a penalty to us if we hadn't scored.

Knob is an understatement champ Walker had his finger in the Kate Rtichie pie and he lost her.

This also. icon_thumbs_u

He also pushed Lockyer over for no reason when the play was dead, it was soft but by the law it was a blatant penalty. These were the two that Cartwright was so angry about, he should be pissed at Walker not the referees.

Ridiculously long game thread so gonna post without reading [icon_lol1. Sorry if I am repeating anyone.

Overall, that was a fantastic game of Rugby League. Usually I like the tough defensive games that end in scores like 12-10, but those at the game were treated to a great night's entertainment last night. Yes, the Broncos could've played better in the second half, but they did the job they went there to do. It was just awesome to get the win last night and walk away from Skilled Park with heads held high. Titans fans annoy the shit out of me.

A big BIG round of applause to the Broncos fans that made the trip down the M1. The atmosphere in the southern stand was Origin-like, especially for the Folau and Taylor intercept tries. [eusa_clap.gi [eusa_clap.gi [eusa_clap.gi

On to the game, and I am sure plenty have already mentioned Hodges's performance. He was sensational. I hope those who argued with me now know what I mean when I talked up Hodges's influence on a game being on par with Inglis.

I've seen a few people bagging Wallace and I have to say those are on drugs. His kicking game last night was near perfect and defensively very solid. Made a couple of mistakes but overall a great game from Wallace.

I thought Sims was the pick of the forwards just in front of Thaiday. I was critical of not starting Joel Clinton but I think the balance we have in the forwards at the moment is perfect. I disagree with those who think Taylor should play off the bench. Getting domination in the forwards right from kick off is so important, especially in finals games. I also called for Carroll to be dropped to make way for Clinton (when Teo wasn't injured) but I was wrong there as well.

One thing I am not really keen on is Glenn playing at hooker to give McCullough a rest. McCullough has proven that he can now go 80 minutes and do it effectively and still playing like it's only the 20th or 30th minute, and Glenn is much more effective coming on as a backrower. Anyway, didn't really matter much last night and I am happy for Ivan to prove me wrong again [icon_lol1.

As a team, I thought one area where we improved massively in was stopping the offloads. Watching the replay I noticed the commentators saying that by the 70th minute the Titans had only thrown 3 offloads. That is much better from us to stop that [eusa_clap.gi Was also impressed with Setu's second man play.

As for the Walker-Lockyer incident, yes Lockyer did a Louganis but it was a late hit by Walker and such a stupid thing to do so penalty justified IMO.

Overall just happy to be through to next week and whoever we play I will be confident we can come through again.
