[quote="Playboy Bunny":dw64wxf1]it puts more a taint on telstra rather then Carney.

To an extent, but what was Carney thinking when he sent naked pics of himself to some random scrubber he met on facebook. If I was in his position, the last thing I would want is for naked pics of myself to be floating about.

Maybe the pic would have turned out better if he got Sam Thaiday to take them[/quote:dw64wxf1]
He was thinking 'This is my lucky day, some hot Facebook sheila is going to be sending me some n00dz in a second, score!'.

The Thaiday line confuses me, would he not be better off taking a player from the team with the most questionable sexuality like the Roosters?

And the hits keep on coming. Thinks of lines like leopards never changing their spots etc.

To be fair, he doesn't seem to have actually done anything wrong this time.

Though I can't believe his employer is saying "He wasn't drunk. He had had just a few drinks." People with issues as bad as Carney's should be staying away from alcohol completely, and it doesn't help matters when older people in his life keep saying it's all good.

Did you even read the article? Todd Carney got bashed by a group of guys, he did nothing wrong.

Hmmm, believe what you will Jester. I would perhaps prefer an unbiased source (like not his agent) for the information that he was totally innocent. The fact remains though, with his history (a) he was out drinking; (b) he was still out at 3.00 am in the morning. Nothing good happens when you have alcohol on board and you're out after 12.00, particularly with his history. That is what I was getting at.

But he is no longer a professional rugby league player, on big money or a role model.. so he should be able to go out on a saturday and drink till the early hours like the majority of other young men his age.

The story has some new quotes to, certainly seems like he is an innocent victim in this one, especially since police are charging the guys who bashed him.

Although the concept of karma does come to mind.
