I reckon Wallace will turn out to be as good a halfback as any in the comp, but you can't go past JT. Wouldn't be losing much if you had to get Prince. If I actually had the chequebook and was considering Prince, I'd have to take his injuries into account.

I went for Prince. He is a specialist - unfortunately too often ruined by injury.

Thurston by the length of the straight. Prince is good, Thurston is great.

If you could bottle Thurston's tenacity and robustness and put it in Prince's body with his silky skills and brilliant kicking game you'd have the ultimate halfback.

The fact is, Thurston is MORE deadly if it is a big game. He is the reason we were even in the position to win Game 3 06. He ran all of game 2 07, and never forget game 3 08. In fact, up with Price and Civinoceva, Thurston is an integral part of recent Origin success.

Thurston has been great in Origin yep but this isn't a poll about which halfback was better in Origin. It is a poll about which halfback you would want if you were the CEO of a new club.

1. Thurston. He IS a consistent player personally, but this wasn't helped by his pack being sh*thouse at times in recent years. Can turn a game on its head and dominate like no other #7 in the game since Joey IMO.
2. Prince. He's got all the skills, great short passing and kicking game. Great competitor too.
I'd probably look to Wallace and Cronk as the next two, though Cronk in particular has never had the opportunity to show us his stuff away from the Storm. Like many of his teammates, I've still got a big question mark over his head as to how he would perform under a different coach with different guys around him. The Storm game plan suits him to a T, however, and his impressively accurate kicking game can't be ignored. Similarly there's Wallace. Good variation in his game, but still finding his way in the top grade. He could be anything.
