I’m so happy that Harry Armstrong is a Broncos signed player. I think he’ll be an absolute gun.

Foley played Meninga and Colts for the Blackhawks last year and couldn't get a Cup start at the Blackhawks he's playing Cup at the Roosters though. With no Colts here he wasn't going to stay in Townsville and play for Brothers.

Tait was let go from the Broncos; he needed a change from here.

Va'a is playing Cup and following his brother and just played his first starting Cup game- which isn't bad for 18 but I am not sold on and never have been.

If Woods is better than Harrison, he must be some sort of player for the Bulldogs SG ball team.

Blues- Six 18-year-olds.
Queensland Three 18-year-olds

Two Blues backing up from last year and Five Queenslanders.

Three Blues have played NRL- Steep, Stewart and McLean compared to Shibasaki and Purdue for Queensland.

Purdue- Cup and NRL
Leota- Cup and Meninga
Stephenson- Meninga
Tait-Cup
Huen- Flegg
Black- Meninga and Cup
Waqa-Meninga and Cup
Bukowski- Meninga
Va'a- Cup
Garton- Meninga
Shibasaki- Cup and NRL
Kira- Meninga
Brown- Meninga
Allen- Meninga
Symonds-Meninga
Armstrong- Meninga

Hope Purdue plays, Brown will go to fullback if he doesn't and he was in great Meninga form but Purdue could be a difference.

Crazy when you think NSW could have had Galvin if not for already playing NRL.

I just Hope QLD make it a close game, hasn't been very close at this level, since It's been on TV.

Since the shift from Under 18 to Under 19 in 2022.

23-Blues 32-4
22-Blues 32-14

But even before that NSW had us in Under 19 between 87 and 07-16 of 23.

Under 18 between 08-2019 Blues won 9 of 12. Queensland only won in 2019, 2015 and 2012.

My take on the Queensland team.

Purdue.

Six Cup games and two NRL games for the Cowboys but not at full-back. He's been great to watch this year, his game against the Hunters was one of the best Cup games ever. How Queensland use him is interesting and how they use Brown. He's a game changer, when he throws his head back and runs it's a great sight.

Leota
Named at 18th man last week and into camp late, he's still pretty rough and not sure his future is winger I just don't know he reads and understands the game well enough. He will get caught out of position and just drifts through games. Five Cup games now.

Nona
Three games and two tries in Cup playing wing and centre, played fullback in Meninga this year. Very versatile and has a good pass on him.

Stephenson
The Queensland metre gainer out of dummy half, Titans have a good one here. Makes ground and gets between defenders. Always seems to stick his nose through, Just moves- see his try in the Meninga Grand Final from the scrum. Just destroyed Coates.

Tait
Nine tries in 10 games for the Roosters in SG Ball and has made his Cup debut and scored 3/3. He's more classical winger, he will stay out and let the chances come to him.

Huen
Plays Flegg for the Storm and has never looked fitter. He was Mozer's vice captain last year. Just has to run and think second.

Black
Had some underwhelming finals form in the last 12 months but played well his Cup debut for Souths. Best things about him are his support play and bombs. Needs a first set like he did for Souths on debut. Just something that settles him.

Waqa
23 was a machine for Dolphins but this year in Meninga not as good. His kick off returns can hurt people.

Bukowski
Had a mixed Meninga season and Wynnum crashed out in the finals for the second year in a row. Hasn't played Cup yet but will try and do everything, captain, kick goals, hooker and just nice bloke.

Va'a
Between Waqa and Va'a hard to believe Queensland have ever had a bigger front row. Just a giant. Four Cup games for the Roostes and hasn't missed a tackle yet.

Garton
Great footwork, if Black can get him some ball on the edge things will happen. Captain of the Dolphins Meninga team and might be captain here too.

Shibasaki
What hasn't he done in the last 12 months? Colts premiership with the Blackhawks, Meninga player of the year, Cup debut and NRL debut. He moves to the space so well, will be on the left and cuts back inside. Seven tries in 15 Cup games as a teenager turned 19 last week as a second rower is pretty impressive.

Kira
18th man last year so earned his elevation with great Meninga form for Pride.

Brown
Probably the form fullback for Meninga, was just sensational. Had a great season with Purdue at the Cutters. 232m v the Clydesdales was great to watch. His combination with Purdue could be a winner.

Allen
The human pin ball part of a great Wynnum middle.

Symonds
Worker, and impact- won't leave the middle of the field.

Armstrong
Another Wynnum product similar to Symonds- head hear and work hard. He will ping around the field on the right-hand side.

It's interesting that Te'o has named nearly all forwards like him- dynamic, tackler and good runners.

Is it normal for guys like Harry, Beni Allen and Bukovski to play in Beenleigh?? Is there a Broncos link?

No Colts so they have to play somewhere after Meninga is finished and they can't make Cup.

Is there not A Grade at Wynnum? Good to know they’re playing somewhere. Would be keen to get down and watch a Beenleigh game now

Just to get an idea of which teams and what players.

This game would be of particular interest for Broncos fans:

Even when colts were around, I remember the Broncos would forego colts and have their prospects play BRL.

Riki is the player that comes to mind in 2019.
