In all honesty, TC has lost much of what he had.

With J. Smith, Costigan and Creagh all there, the backrowers are pretty well covered. TC would struggle to get a guernsey IMO.

He's still got plenty to offer IMO, the intimidation factor alone is enough. Plenty of Broncos wouldn't be too keen running at him I would think.

Carroll had only a handful of good games for us last year. He has little left in the tank especially in attack and you can't carry to many backrowers who can't play 60+ minutes effectively. He might be useful but he isn't a sure bet like he was a few years ago.

But really, the bloke has a young family up here in Brissie. He's got plans for work after football all set in south-east Qld.

I honestly can't see him moving everything for one or two years down at the Dragons, probably on less money than he was getting from the Broncos this year.

Yeah there was talk of this earlier in the year. To be honest he was probebly 15 - 20% down on form this year compared to previous years, probebly a good indication it was the right time to retire.

Still I've got a feeling he may end up at saints for 09, from what I've heard the real estate game on the coast isn't the easy sell it used to be, admittedly the industly was reeping it in a couple years ago when he was doing his certificates but now he must be starting to think anouther season in first grade may not be that bad eusa_think

if he's on cheep money he'll if nothing else pass on some good defensive attitude and skills to his team mates, and I recon would be still a good impact bench player if brought on at key points in the match.

I reckon TC retired at the right time, continuing his career at this point would be a bad decision for himself and the club he signed for.

That said, I don't like the Dragqueens so if he signs with them and takes a decent chunk out of their salary cap, GOOD!
