What Do You Make of it?

Well if they had a track record of not being able to stop at a few and put 100s of thousands of $ revenue at risk you may think differently.

fair enough, but did they in this case? isnt that what the rule makers keep saying, its ok for players to go out and have a drink but make sure they dont get themselves into situations that cause issues and bad publicity. did langer lockyer, thiaday and hodges get rolling drunk and cause a scene, no, then whats the problem?

I would imagine the players aren't happy with the club after the way they have been treated. I heard the players weren't happy with the size of Clintons fine also..

That's interesting because I heard it was his team-mates that actually dobbed him in and asked for a huge fine. I don't know if it's true, but it's what I heard, as far as I'm concerned it's a rumor - like most stuff we hear.

I read the rumour in one of the papers a while back, I find it hard to believe the players would dob him in and ash for him to get a huge fine though..

Well I also heard that Clinton isn't actually liked by the rest of the playing group - if that's true, then them dobbing him in isn't much of stretch. But again - it's just what I heard, I don't know for sure.

LOL I thought Wallace and Clinton were good mates.... It is no coincedence that the team has only been playing worse since the incident occured.

Which is my exact point - all of us hear different things, but in general we don't really know. So I just take everything I hear with a grain of salt until I see inconclusive proof.

Very true I think it would be poor form if the players dobbed on him though. By the looks of things the wheels have fallen of the club behind the scenes..

The way modern sport has the incredible capacity to put players in the penthouse one minute and then on the pavement, I have a theory.

I think Wayne's dream start at the Dragons is about to hit a major hurdle.

I think his theory being that we as Australian's don't like to see people too successful, we like to tear them down when they get to the top. People have kind of let him do his own thing at the Dragons thus far - IMO in part cause they want to see if he will indeed fail outside of the one-team-town - but now he is proving to be very successful and they can't throw the usual "it's easy when you're coaching a team full of rep stars " (conveniently forgetting most of them weren't rep players before he coached them) or "it's easy in Brisbane, when there's no other RL competition" blah blah blah. So they will try and create a situation that makes things harder for him. Of course RBY likely has some more specifics from his tea leaves [icon_razz1

If that's true, then it's fairly disappointing IMO.

Only last season leading up to 'that' game against the Storm, it looked like we had developed an excellent team culture. All the boys played their hearts out for each other.

This year has been a completely different story IMO, some are putting in a half arsed effort with no real desire to perform well and win.

Sad to see.

Exactly too many people go off at the mere sniff of a rumour - most of it turns out to be crap, so not worth getting worked up about most of it.

Wait and see Flutter.
Hey Ning, have you heard the rumours sweeping Newie and the Hunter Valley about the Johns Boys coaching the Knights next year, with Chef ( he owns a restaurant ) Harragon involved as well?

I think Rick Stone will get the job.

Didnt Joey leave Newcastle to get away from the stalkers. Also his wife works in Sydney as a Lawyer or whatever it is she does.
