Wheelchair Rugby in Brisbane

Should have posted this earlier, however I know when the Paralympics were on, people on here expressed some interest in Wheelchair Rugby; so I thought I'd let everyone know that there will be a WC Rugby Tournament in Brisbane this weekend.

Games will be at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Boondall 10am - 5pm Friday (24/4); 1pm - 5pm Saturday (25/4); 9am - 2pm Sunday (26/4). This is basically a pre-season comp.

Brisbane will also be hosting the Finals of the National Wheelchair Rugby League 4-6 September this year (also at BEC, Boondall).

I remember i went to a Wheelchair Rugby match at the Paralympics back in 2000.

The arena was packed, had to sit on some steps. I'd recommend going.

Come to think of it, i don't think i sat on the steps, but i'm sure i saw some people sitting on the steps? eusa_think

Yeah I know it was chockers. And yes there were people sitting on steps - totally against all WH&S, but meh - people wanted in.

OK peeps if you wanna see Murderball live, now is your chance. The finals of that National League are being held in Brisbane next weekend 4 - 6 September at the Entertainment Centre, Boondall. Admission is free. All the guys who played Paralympics for Australia will be playing (along with some of the world's best players who are here as imports for the season)
