Who will be our Captain in 2016?

No guys, Jack Reed is definitely our new captain. Andrew McCullough is vice captain and Darius Boyd is the new goal kicker. Ben Hunt to Hooker and Kodi comes in off the bench to play half back. We have also signed Willie mason and Beau Scott. #sauces

Those things really mean nothing. Gavin Cooper was at the captains thing for the finals series last year.

But I do hope Jack Reed is not our captain.. Solely because of the fact that not a single person has picked Reed in the "Guess The Captain" comp...

ALL HAIL OUR SUPREME OVERLORD CAPTAIN JACK REED!!!!

Who needs that Odowd guy when you have all the latest scoops

So McCullough to captain the side while Jack is out injured?

Nah
Whilst Jack is currently injured, he will still be our leader in the games. He will be the water boy and field questions/complain to the refs when need be and do the coin toss etc

And I believe that Parker will be the captain, just a couple of little things have indicated that, and I think he already knows.

Picked it back on 17 January and I still think that he had been given the nod by WB back then.

The NRMA Insurance Broncos have today nominated their choice to replace Justin Hodges as captain for the 2016 NRL season.

Jack Reed will take the reigns at the Broncos with Wayne Bennett today announcing the English international will captain the club he's played for since his NRL debut in 2011.

"Jack has been with the team as part of the senior leadership group for several years and is well respected amongst the playing group," Bennett said.

"We want to lock Jack up long term, we're working on a deal that will keep him a Bronco for life."

He replaces Justin Hodges, who last year decided to retire from Rugby League with a year remaining on his contract.

Corey Parker will serve as interim captain whilst Jack Reed recovers from off-season surgery

Captain is the one who has to go down with the ship, and Reed is too slow to get off the ship anyway.

WAYNE Bennett admits it wasn't a hard choice to install Corey Parker as the NRMA Insurance Broncos' captain today

For Bennett the words and actions of Corey Parker can sit alongside names like Lewis, Langer and Lockyer.

"He epitomises what all the Bronco captains that I have appointed here do and that is lead from the front," said Bennett today.

"He has a great ability to communicate but his actions are stronger than his words.

"Corey does a great job in that department.

"He has had the respect of the players here for a long period of time, which is really important in that job.

"He will lead them with actions more than his words."

Bennett said Parker had benefitted from an amazing apprenticeship at the Broncos.

Joining the club for the 2000 season, he worked in the glare of the ethical leadership of guys like Shane Webcke, Andrew Gee, Brad Thorn and Petero Civoniceva.

Those lessons rubbed off and have been a huge part of his journey to mow.

"He came here as a kid and I was a much younger coach then," said Bennett.

"He has always done his best and I admire that in a player.

"He had some great men here when he came here as a kid like Shane Webcke and Petero, and he was smart enough to hang around those guys and learn the lessons.

"He made himself an extremely good professional.

"And that's what the good players do - they don't just turn up on game day and try to get it right.

"They get it right all week, and he does that all year."

Parker said he was still somewhat taken aback by the honour.

"I was only just reflecting on it yesterday," he said.

"To come to this club when I finished school in 1999 and to be here leading 17 years later is something very special."
