Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Ricky Stuart and Phil Gould are 100 per cent correct - Queensland play dirty pool when NSW goes to Brisbane.
And here is the proof.
Over the past week a host of former NSW players and coaches were canvassed to find out exactly how the Maroons use disruptive and under-handed tactics leading up to Suncorp Stadium matches.
And the results were disturbing.
The Cane Toads were accused of running up and down the NSW hotel corridor knocking on doors; having music blast above and below the floor accommodating the Blues players; sprinklers on training fields; early morning wake-up calls and radio station hoax calls.
There was even suggestions of food poisoning.
"Once Brett Kenny was in the bathroom for three days," one former NSW star said.
NSW coaches are put next to a private suite where Queensland fans are intoxicated and loud, while there was also talk curators mark the sidelines during a NSW training session.
"You have people running in the hotel and banging on doors," said NSW skipper Paul Gallen.
"There is music coming from the floor above and below. This happened once when we were one-nil down so I am sure it will be the same now it's a decider. We're prepared though."
Even before Origin I this year in Brisbane, NSW had trouble gaining access to Suncorp Stadium for Tuesday's traditional last training run.
Another past player said NSW often trained with unknown "spies" watching in the grandstands.
But the Blues are prepared for all obstacles, according to Stuart and former NSW prop Steve Roach.
"From the day when we got into camp we were aware of the hurdles that will confront us," Stuart said.
"Mentally, we will face anything."
"One hundred per cent they do these things," Roach said.
"Queensland will pull any stunt. We know that. We know what they are up to and we are ready for anything.
"When we first started playing at the old Lang Park you had to walk through the bar to get to the field."
Earlier in the week, Stuart said his NSW side back in 1991 were hampered in the lead-up to Wally Lewis's final match for Queensland - just as they will be with Darren Lockyer's farewell match on Wednesday.
"It was all about Wally, as it's going to be about Darren," Stuart said.
"Everything that can be a hurdle is going to be thrown at us when we get to Brisbane.
"In 1991, it was like we were invited to the party, but we weren't allowed to have a beer or dance with anyone."
