Ricky Stuart - tosser of the highest order.

"To win finals you need big-game players, and nothing I have seen lately has changed my mind on that. He has enjoyed his footy there and had a good season. Good luck to him."

"But it was there for all to see at a packed ANZ Stadium on Friday night, the very reason I chose to let him go. Sure, his form all season has been consistently good, but in the game that mattered most, I think Brett would be the first to admit he didn't deliver what his club wanted."

I read this article a few days ago (if it hasn't changed) and thought what he wrote was pretty fair.

It was pretty fair, but he also failed to mention Kimmorley was coming back from a broken cheekbone!

Exactly.

Ricky Stuart was sweating bullets that Kimmorley would lead the Dogs to the big one......and then he broke his jaw bone and Stuart was vindicated.

I do love how this came AFTER the dogs were knocked out.... don't know if you would be hearing boo from Ricky if they made it to the big dance.

Well it worked wonders for Ricky's team.

i think that article came after this was published on friday:

Brett Kimmorley admits he didn't get along with Ricky Stuart at Cronulla
By Andrew Webster
September 25, 2009 Bulldogs halfback Brett Kimmorley has opened up about how miserable life was under coach Ricky Stuart at Cronulla in his final season.

Speaking for the first time about the feud between the pair that prompted Kimmorley's move to the Bulldogs, the 33-year-old said he stopped challenging the coach's decisions because he did not want to lose his position.

"When Ricky came (to the Sharks), there was always an issue," Kimmorley said ahead of Friday nightt's preliminary final against Parramatta.

"I think if you ask most people, they'll say his game plans are pretty full on. There were no dramas. You just do what he tells you to do, so you keep your job.

"I was happy in June (last year) to get out. When I decided to go to Canterbury, towards the end of last year I was playing good footy because I knew I was going."

To understand how content Kimmorley is, you have to understand how difficult it was.

When speculation was rife last season that the Sharks did not want him he would come home from training exhausted and angry.

Kimmorley returns on Friday night less than a month after suffering a fractured cheekbone that threatened to end his season.

Stuart didn't think he could win a premiership with Kimmorley. The Bulldogs probably can't win one without him.

"In the last year I've finally realised where home is," he says. "I'm happy, things are happy at home ... I didn't know what I was doing (last year). I've found a club that has similar beliefs."

Yep, saw that too Sam. Thing is, Stuart just can't let stuff like that slide. He HAS to have the last word. He's so bitterly sensitive, insecure and precious that he feels he has to defend himself against any criticism.

He's won no friends with his "reply", whereas he could have earnt quite a few more if he'd just said when asked "Brett is entitled to his view, I feel no need to respond".

If Kimmorley is such a choker in the big games then ytf does he have a clive churchill medal hanging in his trophy cabinet beside his premiership ring? Ricky stuart is an idiot.

Ricky is full of it.
Sacks Kimmorley because Kimmorley supposedley can't lead a team all the way, then replaces him with... Trent Barrett.

BURN [icon_lol1.

Yep swapping Kimmorley for Barrett certainly worked out well

Ricky is the master of playing out his battles in the public domain. The one earlier in the year with Gould went on for longer because Gould is just as childish and had to reply in his own collumn.

If these were all mature, grown-up men, they would have either kept their traps completely shut or talked about it with the person in question, one on one. Now they just look pathetic and petty.

Well said schmix.

With such logic and intelligence it's a joke you didn't win Survivor.

Schmix was on survivor???

If so - I've always had the theory that behind the scenes they toss you packets of chips and what not - true/false?
