It would be stupid to get rid of origin but the clubs may think it is not worth the risk to their best players
 
Honestly if the clubs want more money they need to realise they need State of Origin. I don't think it really matterd in AFL as the players didn't care too much for it. It would be the opposite in league.

This has largely been the basis of the QRL's objections to the IC structure as proposed. Given that it seems the QRL are now in agreement with it to proceed, I would have to assume they have been given some fairly iron-clad assurances that this will not occur.
