PRE-GAME World Club Series - Wigan Warriors vs Brisbane Broncos

I imagine that Boyd is captaining this game. How small is that Leeds player!

Rob Burrow! One of the nicest blokes I've met. He's a Super League legend...he's played a ridiculous amount of first grade games as a half/hooker.

Is that what our away strip will look like this year?

It looks like the yellow on the pants doesn't even match the yellow on the jersey, if that's true then Nike really have been phoning it in the last couple of years.

Reminds me of Allan Langer when he first hit the scene.

Well it's Eden's chance to push his best case for NRL since joining the club and I'd like to see that happen.

Really happy to see Edan starting, hope he has a blinder. Itching to see Kodi go well in 7 too. Bring it on!

Waddell....?wtf???

I wonder if it would have been worthwhile giving one of our young back-up hookers a shot in the bench utility role. We know what Waddell offers and it is very little, so what could be the problem with doing so?

I'm worried we won't have a kicking game to speak of... that is definitely our roster's achilles, especially when you think that even with Hunt on board, our kicking game is pretty average.

Hopefully Milf and Kodi have worked on that.

love the team but would have loved for Herman ese'ese to get a go

I assume Macca will be doing his far share of kicking.

As per usual, there's a couple of surprises with that line-up...

Eden's selection over Opacic is very curious. I would have thought after his experience last year, Opacic would receive the nod but after the Bundaberg trial it appears as if Greg has pipped him at the post. If I was to hazard a guess, Wayne is confident in what he sees in Opacic and wants a closer look at Eden.

If I was picking the side, I would have switched Thaiday and McGuire around to capitilise on Thaiday's versatility. However, there appears to be some concerns over Josh's match fitness and evidently they want to ease him back in which is sound logic.

Perhaps the most controversial selection is Travis Waddell. I think some fans were really slow on the uptake and didn't realise that with Matt Parcell gone, Waddell is now the #2 starting hooking option (with Kodi as a bench specialist). It isn't an ideal situation and I hope that Travis can at least do his job with minimal mistakes. At the very least, Travis' defence can be quite handy and I'm sure that's apart of the package for Wayne.

It is indeed truly horrid.

I think you are right about Tom. Bennett imo knows what he will get with Tom, so its a chance for Eden to show he can perform. Still disappointed he wont get a shot somewhere as i think he would be a good replacement for Reed. I actually think if Eden doesnt impress we will see Opacic in the team against the Eels.

Eden knows the ground too, which albeit marginal, probably also gives him a bit of an edge over Opacic.

Can we get this formatting fixed boys, I can't even quote the last post on pages because it's covered by the thread search function.
