Gymp told me what it was, and i think it is terrible.

I did tell you it was in bad taste.

Yeah it is in bad taste, but the actual joke isn't really funny at all anyway.

Sorry if this hurts your feelings.

Not at all icon_smile

Different strokes for different folks. I know plenty of people who find it funny (including the person who told me it). It's only a web forum, I couldn't care less.

If Capello has England really switched on, and can get them working together as a team, then there really is no reason why England cant make the semis...which sucks :(

:P

Agreed apart from the sucks bit

It's incredible the difference Capello has made to England, it's also really exposed how truely useful Englands last few managers have been. I don't think we will see another English manager who is competent on the big stage for a long time, and our last one IMO was Bobby Robson.

Someone on my Facebook just made this status update:

"Can't see why Australia can't finish on top of their group, draw Germany & beat Serbia & Ghana they should be able to do that."

lol what a clueless moron.

That chick in my status update tried to smash you up Scotty. [icon_wink

The moment I mentioned England after you slagged them off without provocation, some wankstain comes in and assumes it's gloves off. I don't know where the chip on the shoulder comes from but its pretty sad at times. I wasn't even having a go at Australia ffs, I WANT Australia to do well at the world cup.

I've said it before, Australians are dead keen to have a shot at England this time around but I really don't think it will be what they expect should they meet at all. Most are apparently assuming England will be a walkover as you will be so fired up, a lot of this based on the friendly 6 years ago. Englands form has been patchy since... well, forever but they aren't to be taken lightly next year, that's for damn sure. Even penny realises this and he hates England as much as anybody.

I'm happy to accept that England may have improved, but simply judging on their very "patchy" WC form of the past, you can understand why people love to have a go at the country of Football's origin.

When it comes down to it though, I'm openly confident about Australia having what it takes in numerous areas to beat England if the two countries meet in the second round.

Many, including myself, have been guilty of having the "same old England" mentality. I admit, I haven't payed them much attention. I apologise.

As for the "wankstain", Germans eh? I'll tell her that you think she's a wankstain. [icon_wink

I wasn't calling her a wankstain because she is German, not that I knew that anyway, I was calling her that because I was copping flak for nothing more than defending England after you had a go. I wasn't even comparing England to Australia on there but of course most Australians can't resist the opportunity to sink the boot in.

It's true. We can't. Silly cultural thing I suppose.

Lol, I know mate. I was just joking about her being one and thus being off the pace lol.

I'm making little sense. Bed time for Silence.

My dislike for England is mainly hate for the Premier League more than the National Team. Being in an English family living in Australia, i have the Premier League shoved down my throat from all corners (besides my grandpa, who watches more Serie A than Prem, mainly coz his side, Southend will never make it lol). Whether its my uncles saying "Premier League is the only league that matters, unless ur into diving and girly men" or general people, "whats a barca?" or the sports news with their 5 minute wrap of prem and sometimes not a mention of Serie A.

I know Scotty, that you arent like this, as ive seen ur posts on other leagues, you show respect for awesome football, no matter where its played (altho, the dislike of Diego is lame :P). But i feel as a whole that Prem fans show massive disrespect to other leagues and over time its made me resent the Premiership. Thats transferred onto me disliking the English team, which i once upon a time used to cheer on as my 4th or 5th side.

anyways, ive said this heaps already lol, point is, I dont hate England coz of the australian "bloody poms" mentality. I even go for England in Rugby (mainly to piss off Wallabies fans). So basically my dislike is based on what other people think. Am i the least punk, punk rock fan ever? and is this the lamest post ever or what? :P

I am not a fan of the "my league is better than your league" mentality, it's bullshit. La Liga is on top at the moment I would say due to superior talent, but all leagues have their strong points. And the Maradona thing is based around him cheating against England, I just hate cheating of any kind in any sport regardless of who does it. I find it really disappointing that he did it too because he is just ridiculously talented. A player with his abilities shouldn't need to cheat to gain an advantage.
