I don't have an issue with what Cult3 said. It's when you start cheering the opposition because you want changes to be made that I find it pathetic - but those fingers can be pointed in a lot of directions too.

The side itself isn't that bad.

The only selection I don't agree with is Bird. As a player, I actually think Bird plays well in the big games and would take him over somebody like Glenn Stewart but off the field he doesn't deserve to be there. The Australian jersey should be treated with respect. This is something a lot of players spend their lives fighting for and to see a player facing criminal charges getting that jersey just taints the jersey for me.

I'm sure he isn't the first but he should definitely be the last.

I don't think he necessarily deserved to be there, but it's a shame Hodges wasn't given one last send off. I completely get it but there was no bigger occasion and I don't think the situation is THAT urgent that you have to start blooding players right away. Hodges playing his last test infront of his home crowd would have drawn more interest and I'm sure that was behind the announcement last night and I think it's a shame he's not there although I can understand the selection.

For Queensland, it's actually a pretty good move as it gives Chambers some more experience heading into a big series. The more experience players like him get, the better.

The team is fine, I like seeing Test footy it's just a shame that the sense of occasion doesn't seem there.

Pretty decent side from the Kiwis.

The Blair omission is odd. I actually didn't think he was THAT great last year - he did his job but the stars were the likes of SJ, Bromwich, Taumalolo, Vatuvei etc. he was just a handy cog. Personally I would have kept him in the side because of his presence but don't blame the selectors going for Matulino who's been the Warriors best. However, I've got to question the selection of Moa who's been pretty ordinary for the Roosters. I rate him but think Blair offers more.
