Jharal Yow Yeh to miss season opener

Jharal Yow Yeh has today had knee surgery as a result of an injury sustained in the last week’s All Stars game.

The injury was much more serious than first thought and the Club’s specialist has advised the Broncos that he will be out of action for the next 10 to 12 weeks.

Fark, that totally sucks. Seems Kemp will definitely have a long chance at re-proving himself in first grade now regardless of whether he gets picked for fullback or not.

This is bad news. Not only do we miss out on having one of our best prospects on the field, we may get the inclusion of steve michaels...

****! this season is turning out to suck shit. Steve Michaels is looking more and more likely.

everyone still think the All Stars game was a good idea??

yep, for all we know he coulda done it in round 1 instead at least this wasnt during a Bronco's game leaving us a back short at the 20minute mark or something.

I never thought it was a good idea, we spend every moment trying not to pideon hole racism, yet we put the "blacks" v's "whites" in a game of sponsored and televised footy for gragging rights. Meh.

Never thought it was a good idea to begin with. This incident just makes me fucking furious though.

This sucks balls big time, I was really looking forward to seeing Yow Yeh playing early on [icon_thumbs_do

Yep for sure I was hoping for Yow Yeh to have a bumper season now he may not even be at his best all year.

Real disappointment, Yow Yeh looked likely to maintain his form from last year and avoid the terrible twos, unfortunately he now has an excuse to not perform in 2010, lets hope he can rise above it and really put in. At least there are always quality wingers about, but I for one want him in the run on side as much as possible if he can maintain his top form.

Not cool - if you read the whole article apparently he was 'this' close to an ACL. Seriously not effin cool at all.

It has been thrown around lately about salary cap exemptions for pre-season trials/exhibition injuries and I 100% agree. RL teams do not have enough depth to cover big injuries and that is a FACT.

The NRL should provide compensation for crap like this. Pay his wages while he's injured or something.

totally agree champ same with any injuries that happen in rep games!!

This sucks balls. Having enjoyed watching Jharal all through last year (especially being up in Townsville when he scored that blistering try from his own 40m line) I can't believe he's out of action for that long. Still I guess we should be grateful it wasn't the ACL.
