Not sure why you've picked up on that tbh. Do you think we have never paid a player off the cap.
That was my only point, I don't hate the Storm for cap cheating when every club has more than likely done it.
Also I still don't know why we would give him money under the table if we weren't cheating somehow, makes no sense.

I'm just explaining that Mundine's claim is not a 'gotcha' moment.

I said as much when Buzz first reported on it.

There's a lot about The Panthers to dislike......they aren't getting nearly enough mentions here.

My current emotions are;

Most hated - Panthers, Roosters, Cowboys, Dragons

Next hated - Storm, Warriors, Raiders, Sea Eagles, Eels, Knights, Newcastle, Souths, Sharks

Don't care - Titans,
IMO if your on the Don't care level, that is the sadest of all to be on.

😡!

I will say with Melbourne, I don't have as big an issue with their salary cap infringements because they developed the majority of their players. If they had bought a premiership like the Sharks did, I'd have an even bigger problem with it.

With that said, they were caught breaching the cap by $3.8 million when the cap was between 3.3 - 4 million around that time. It might not bother you or me that badly, but when you cheat to that extent, I can see why others hold it against them.

My problem with the Storm is they've OJ Simpson'd the ruck every chance they get. As soon as a rule gets bought in for them, they introduce new techniques to absolutely suck the enjoyment out of watching their games as a neutral.

Melbourne, by a long, long way.

Ever since the 2006 Grand Final ignited it, and the Ashton Sims knock on added fuel to the fire. That and they're just a terrible club that will flaunt and stretch the rules as far as they will dare to go to get a win (perfectly displayed by the salary cap scandal), oftentimes involving a tonne of grubbiness. Bellyache's coaching career has been one of the worst things to ever happen to the code, along with Vlandy's taking control.

In my opinion there is a reason why Bellamy has always made it very personal with the Broncos. We have NEVER played such low brow footy as they have in our entire history. He tried to bring it in during his time here, and Bennett just wasn't having it. So here we stand, in direct contrast to his principles and his beliefs about how footy should be played, and it sticks in him like a nasty splinter.

That's fair enough.

Personally I think they cop too much blame for the slowing down of the game. It actually started happening earlier when the 2002 Roosters made gang tackling popular. You could see the change in 2003 become more defence oriented and it just became more refined from that point.

From their perspective, it would have been annoying for them to win games only for the opposition to cry grapple. Especially when the opposition was just as guilty as the Storm were in specific games. Then you get the NSW media who go after Melbourne meanwhile other clubs would grub it up in the ruck and you'd hardly hear a word about it.

Make no mistake, Melbourne were the best at it but because the NSW media tried to make it a us vs. them debate it just made it harder to police.

One other thing I despise about Melbourne - and this is a bit of tall poppy stuff, but - they took what made the Broncos so successful, and duplicated it - successfully. That on its own is okay, but during the same period the Broncos seemingly forgot all the very same things, and this club has been on the slide for a very, very long time - 15 years? It's only been turning around the past 18 months or so, finally. But to watch the Storm out-Bronco the Broncos over the past decade or so, that's been tough to stomach for me.

Ppl can hate Melb all they want , I just don't get the logic.
We have done similar things to a lesser extent.
Hate them for their tactics but most wanted Bellamy to come to Broncos.
I guess hate isn't logical

We beat the Storm in our GF so they are done in my book. It's a good rivalry but we have the GF.
The Cows on the other hand I can't stand, they beat us in the GF. I want to see them destroyed utterly for it haha. Plus that little Ginger we gave them is a sour little twerp who I want to see suffer.

This right here is why I hate the storm more than any other team.

The ***** keep beating us!

They've won 38 of our last 52 games in the last 25 years.

That's blood boiling material right there.

Fuckem
.

The logic is they have absolutely embarrassed us every year for the last decade.

Not just beat.. humiliated...shamed...dominated. We have been 2 Byes for them year in..year out. No other team has done that to us. Not the Roosters, not the Cowboys, not the Eels. It's the biggest shame.

That's your logic for the hatred.
