A calf strain that takes three weeks to heal? Seriously?

3 week injury confirmed by the Heat, will be back for the end of the season / playoffs, if we can manage to make it without him.

We have Burns in pretty good form this year. Bowlers seem to be doing better than last year too. Last year we pretty relied on Lynn and McCullum.

3 week injury also means Lynn should be right for the T20 series in early February against England & New Zealand.

I imagine all the players from the Test squad will probably rest up for that series & head over to South Africa early for the warm-up game etc (Ruling out players like Glenn Maxwell, Ashton Agar & Joe Burns) We have potential for a pretty fun team in that series.

1. Aaron Finch
2. D'Arcy Short
3. Chris Lynn
4. Travis Head (c)
5. Ashton Turner
6. Marcus Stoinis
7. Alex Carey
8. James Faulkner
9. Ben Dwarshuis
10. Andrew Tye
11. Adam Zampa

Extended Squad: Billy Stanlake, Jhye Richardson, Mitchell Swepson, Ben McDermott, Matthew Wade.

Thought I might try and name a full strength Perth Scorchers team, not even including any internationals. How are you meant to beat this team? Literally can't even find spots for Voges, Johnson, Whiteman.

1. Klinger
2. S.Marsh
3. Cartwright
4. Turner
5. M.Marsh (c)
6. Bancroft
7. Agar
8. Coulter-Nile
9. Richardson
10. Tye
11. Behrendorff

Johnson would be your first bowler picked, ahead of either Coulter-Nile, Behrendorff or even Richardson. (Sigh)

Yep, that umpire has never played the game and has no commonsense. He was running away from the ball but because he looked at the ball and changed direction he’s out

Is there really no better umpires available. Like honestly, are CA trying to tell us that this guys they put out there each night are the best on offer? That’s incredibly sad if that’s the case.

How can both Matthew Wade and George Bailey be in the same team? Surely common sense suggests a quota of shitcunts within each side.

And almost impaled the stumps in doing so. How many sliding batsmen end up where he did? Only the ones who are obstructing the path of the ball. The right decision was given.

Did you even watch it. He ran away from the ball, in what world is that an obstruction.

Plus Bailey can get fucked for appealing for it.

Based on this precedent, I hope any change of line McCullum appeals for obstruction

No it was not. The only reason the ball even hit the stumps was because it hit the batsman.

The line he ran actually gave the fielder a better shot at the stumps. His original line would have cut straight across the path of the ball, if it had been a straight throw.

Unfortunately for Ross the fielder pulled the throw 2m wide of the stumps and it looked like he ran into its path.
