Nice batting so far from the boys.

0/350 at stumps would be alright.

Warner is the Australian Sehwag. If the ball’s moving he’s hopeless, but he looks amazing in conditions that suit him.

And is a gun in limited overs format

Poor Burnsy, tough stuff. Played beautifully until that.

Good knock regardless. He has taken his opportunity and now should have the summer to lock it up tight.

The commentary on cricinfo from the non aussies can’t understand why he wasn’t recalled sooner. Good to see it’s not just us who have issues with CA selection

This should hopefully be the game for Marnus to FINALLY get a century.

Nice one lasagna.

Bat until the end of the day? Squeeze a few overs in before stumps?

Over before lunch tomorrow? Or will Pakistan dig in until the end of the day?

Pretty damn good bowling attack. Cummins and Hazlewood bowl for the first hour and then Starc and Lyon come on.

Cummins, Hazlewood and Starc are all under 30 yo, with ~530 wickets @ 25.5 between them.

And Pattinson as first back up isn't any different. It is quite the quartet and Junior Richardson as the young prodigy chomping at their heels.

If only the media would wake up to the fact that our biggest liability is Lyon.

He's averaging over 37 with the ball in 9 tests this year, and in 10 tests last year he averaged 34+.

On a side note, in 8 tests against Pakistan his average with the ball is 50+. In fact, the only teams against who he averages under 30 with the ball are Bangladesh, NZ and West Indies.

And replace him with who?

He has a lot of wickets though! It's not because he's been picked constantly for several years despite SOK deserving an extended chance with his vastly superior record. For example, SOK's average with the ball when Lyon was initially picked was like 23 vs Lyon's 38. Oh well, at least Lyon is a meme with a meme nick name so that will assure selection.

Offspinners going through a lean patch can go for a lot more than 37. I think he’s still a good bowler and there’s no one else anyway. Plus they all bowl well as a unit.

I'm not sure how anyone can look at our current Test side and conclude that the biggest liability is one of our bowlers?
