I understand the makeup of it position wise (or at least what they are trying to do), but why not actually choose a backrower?

Unless they heard Hodges claim to have never played this many games in a row and are assuming he'll get injured running out of the tunnel :D

Also I wonder if Cronk would have been chosen of Gidley if he hadn't suffered that injury, or whether the selectors have just worked out he's not worthy of continual selection in rep teams.
