he couldn't start the first game he was suspended ...

the reason he didn't start the 2nd game was because he was coming back from injury and had very little match fitness.

I wouldn't have minded if McGuire started at lock. Parker plays in the middle like a prop anyway, so we wouldn't have to change our strategy much. I don't know about Te'o being there, his workrate is like 10% of Parker's.

Uate is not that good catching bombs either, so hopefully Beale will get a better chance to shine...

If we can contest our bombs more we are a good chance of actually scoring more points off kicks like the Cowboys did against us.

I wish Matt Gillett was wearing 13!

Absolutely. About time we used him for 80 minutes too.

As much as I totally agree that Parker is vitally important to the side, I would like to see him pack in the back row, with Gillett free to break early from the scrum in some nice set plays with either 1st receiver. As well, I see Gillett being much more dangerous out wide than Parker who tends to run infield anyway. In my view, we need a wide running lock who is pretty much always there when needed.

I don't think Hook is using Gillett to his full potential.

I also agree that McGuire should come on after 20 or so and stay there for as long as possible. Civo and Hannant are the ideal starting props.

As for the Kniggots, their ability to beat us is seriously diminished with the loss of Gidley. I don't care what anyone says, Gidley is a very very good playmaker (and certainly not a fullback where he does most of his ruin"). His loss is far more damaging than Parker's.

At last someone can point out what a valuable player Gidley is.

It's very hard for Queenslander's to praise anyone other than a Queenslander, you know?

Agree Queerlanders can only see talent or potential in their own state. They think the whole world ends at the QLD border.

Very true, mostly because there's fewer to praise :)

Yeah, seriously can you guys save the NSW trolling for another time?

People don't rate Kidley as a playmaker because he's yet to achieve anything significant in the position. He's a very busy player but he didn't stand out against St. George Illawarra - in fact, his involvement seemingly stilted their attack.
